Brief Service Description: Provides abuse victims with a child friendly atmosphere to be interviewed by State Children Protective Services, law enforcement officials, etc. Also provides free therapy for children and families. Maintains an educational program about child abuse prevention and other related issues for children, teachers, law enforcement officials, day care providers and others. Parenting classes available (court ordered also) for a onetime fee of $40.

Brief Description: Centerstone's School-Based Counseling and Case Management Services: The goal is to help students be successful in school and in their community by providing therapy and case management services at school. By being on site at school, we can work with the students on a regular basis and also consult with the teaching staff. Referrals are usually made to us from the school staff. Once a referral is received, our staff will meet with the parent/guardian to discuss services. Our staff generally meets with the students weekly, but they are also available to attend school staffing and conduct family sessions. Services are covered by TennCare. Self-pay is an option and we accept some private insurance. Brief Description: Centerstone's Community Based Case Management: Our goal is to form a partnership between the family and the case manager, where the family is seen as the expert on their family and the case manager brings expertise on accessing resources and on skill building. We meet with families in their homes and communities and tailor our service to the needs of the family. We do advocacy for the family and teach them to advocate for themselves. We do skill building and connect families with needed services. Once a referral is received, our staff will meet with the parent/guardian to discuss services. Our staff generally meets with family at least twice a month but we do tailor the services in order to give the family the level of service they need when they need it. Brief Description: Centerstone's Outpatient Treatment services include individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, medication management and case management. Our team focuses on treatment for clients that have a desire to work on problem areas in their lives. We do not provide evaluations for child custody, court evaluations or probation. Our outpatient clinic utilizes a team-based approach to ensure the best quality of care in working with our clients. The outpatient team sees clients from age 5 to 100. Services are covered through TennCare, self- pay and private insurance. To schedule an intake appointment, please contact our Customer Call Center at 615-460-4357. Brief Description: Centerstone's Intensive In-Home Treatment services help keep children and their families together by providing individual and family counseling in the home or community to help stabilize and decrease the youth's disruptive behaviors and prevent possible placement in hospital, residential treatment or State’s custody. This enables parents to take back control of their home and regain their child's respect and cooperation. Treatment typically lasts 60-90 days, more if needed. Because treatment is intensive, families will receive an average of 2 to 3 sessions weekly, and in-home therapists are available 24/7 to respond to crises. Other services that may be provided include behavior management, parenting training, communication, relationship-building and school interventions. Services are covered by TennCare. Self-pay is also an option. Brief Description: Get REAL Centerstone offers Get REAL, a program to prevent and reduce the onset of substance abuse and the transmission of HIV/AIDS among Middle Tennessee youth, ages 12-17. Get REAL empowers teens by teaching them about the connection between substance abuse and the transmission of HIV/AIDS, while giving them the knowledge and skills to avoid both.

Get REAL is provided to youth in community-based settings, including local schools and neighborhood centers. Skills are taught through fun, interactive and educational group activities. Get REAL participants will increase refusal skills, increase healthy beliefs, increase knowledge about HIV/AIDS, reduce risk taking behavior and reduce substance use and abuse. What it offers

Children in the program learn through activity based play in a variety of settings. Services are primarily in natural settings with families/caretakers actively involved. Free screenings are conducted for children under the age of three.

Fee for service: A payback system. The parent works in the program practicing positive reinforcement skills and “pays back” visits. For example, 20 visits in active treatment equal 20 visits in payback. The length of the program is 4-6 months.

Brief Description: The program is available to families in which there are concerns regarding a young child's behavior, and is coordinated by a professional resource staff person. Children are eligible for RIP up to their 6th birthday.

Brief Description: As Tennessee’s public child welfare agency, the Department of Children’s Services is responsible for helping some of our state’s most vulnerable citizens. Our juvenile justice program treats the youthful offenders who are sent to us by the courts. Today we have approximately 8,000 in state custody. 35 Brief service description: Teen Court program provides juveniles, who are first time offenders, an opportunity to face a jury of their peers. The juvenile will have a separate hearing held where their peers fulfill the roles of the courtroom (2 defense attorneys, 2 prosecuting attorneys, bailiff and up to twelve jurors.) The jury will then make the appropriate sanctions for the crime. Any student interested in being a Teen Court member must either live in Sumner County or attend a Sumner County High School. Students may not have any prior delinquent record or be under a valid court order from Juvenile Court. Permission is required by a parent or guardian to join the program. Students do not have to meet certain GPA requirements; we do encourage students to excel in academics. These students must complete an average of 12 hours of intense training provided by local attorneys and other volunteers. Brief Description: A congregational respite program meeting the social, spiritual, physical and emotional needs of older adults with Alzheimer Disease, dementia or other debilitating medical issues. The program meets the needs of loved ones by providing a time of nurturing respite care to give family caregivers much needed time for themselves. Tues, Wed and Thurs 10a-2p with lunch served.
