Hélène Bellenger Portfolio 17 place jean Jaurès 13005 Marseille (france) Tel: 06.48.89.48.28 email: [email protected] WEB: www.helenebellenger.com Instagram: helene.bellenger Hélène Bellenger collects and reappropriates images taken from her spatial, temporal and digital contemporaneity, in order to question and overturn their meaning. Through this work of confiscation and re-use of images, the artist digs into her visual culture and thus deconstructs the intermediary, political and cultural space of the “re” in representation. Born in 1989, Hélène Bellenger lives and works in Marseille. After a double degree in law and art history, she specialized in photography and contemporary art at the Sorbonne University. She graduated from the French National School of Photography in Arles in 2016. Immediately after her degree, her installations BIOGRAPHY were exhibited at Agnès B. gallery in Paris, curated by Alexandre Quoi and Aurélie Pétrel. Les artistes s’engagent à proposer et à produire un travail spécifique en résonance avec le lieu et son contexte. OPLINE 2019 About Opline : For the last ten years OPLINE, an association recognized of public utility, played a major role for the contemporary art scene by awarding a prize, OPLINEPRIZE, democratic, intergenerational and open to everyone. Today OPLINE meets four major objectives; - Democratize creation using digital tools. - Create links between artists, opinion leaders, and internationally renowned creators. - Develop a broad community in which businesses and cultural institutions come together to activate the scene of creation. - Promote transversality between the artistic and the digital scene. More than just a price, OPLINEPRIZE is above all, a community and a real popular success. More than 180 artists were presented, many exhibitions were initiated. More than 300,000 followers follow the prices on social networks and more than 200,000 contacts are generated each year! Artists of all ages, from all backgrounds and cultures are represented. All forms are defended, with a particular attachment to new medias and new technologies. 2019 Theme Evolution – New Territories The 2019 edition : a focus on innovation and new territories As part of Nuit Blanche 2019 at EP7 Paris, OPLINE proposes a Co-design approach with its artists and curators around the theme of the mobile city. New Territories presents a notion of the megalopolis as a decentralized, fluid and in constant motion structure. Inspired by some form of biomimicry, cities move around earth and adapt their course and their form to the different external phenomena. Migratory flow, climate, resource and optimization of operation are therefore the vectors according to which the megacities decide their mapping progress. On the front of the EP7, in the heart of the public space, a monumental projection presents the BOOKs of the artists nominated for the 2019 OplinePrize Award and will be accompanied by liveshows. -

Paolo Cirio's Professional CV and Biography In
Paolo Cirio’s Biography and Crucial Artworks In October 2020, Cirio created the project Capture with of 4000 faces of French police officers assembled by facial recognition. Further, Cirio aimed to crowdsource the identification of the officer on his platform Capture-Police.com. In response the interior minister Darmanin and police unions forced the take down of the project both online and at the exhibition in the French art institution Le Fresnoy. This case of censorship of Cirio’s work was largely reported internationally. Cirio’s provocation was designed to promote his campaign BanFacialRecognitionEU. In 2021 Cirio concluded the campaign to ban facial recognition technology by delivering his legal research and complaint to the European Commission and EDPS with over 50,000 signatures supporting his petition. In June 2020, Cirio launched the project Derivatives online, with a database of over 100,000 Sotheby’s auction records he assembled. Cirio overlaid the auction prices on the images works to sell them as digital artworks on the website Art-Derivatives.com for a fraction of the value set at the auctions. Cirio designed a "future" financial derivative contract for the sale of his derivative works. By betting against future prices of derivative works, with Cirio’s concept everyone can ironically participate in the financialization of art. In addition, the project campaigns for enacting more transparency and fairness in the art market. In order to provoke regulation, Cirio has investigated secrecy and manipulation of art auctions with extensive research. This project was reported by the international outlets as a controversial and investigative work, like on ArtNet and South China Morning Post. -

Beginning with the 9 Evenings: Theatre and Engineering that took place in New York in 1966, which are the source of the Experiments in Art and Technology group that engineers Billy Klüver and Fred Waldhauer founded with artists Robert Rauschenberg and Robert Whitman in 1967. On the West Coast of the United States and still in 1966, Maurice Tuchman introduced the Art and Technology Program at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The program aimed to connect artists such as Andy Warhol with American brands. -
