Wellington’s Biggest Summer Celebration - Over Three Saturdays New Zealand’s greatest racing event, the Wallaceville Estate Wellington Cup Carnival, will be run over three Saturdays in January, together forming Wellington’s most prestigious and popular summer celebration. The much-anticipated excitement and pageantry of Cup Day, featuring horses, fashion, food and hospitality, will be on Saturday, January 21 and promises to be even more spectacular than ever before. The Saturdays before and after Cup Day, January 14 and 28, are not to be missed either. The carnival’s highest rated race day, with some of the country’s top-rated racing – Classic Day – will be held on January 14.
