Project Arcadia (BG) Genre: Heavy Metal / Power Metal Label: Nightmare Records Album Titel: a Time of Changes Spielzeit: 45:53 VÖ: 09.09.2014
Band: Project Arcadia (BG) Genre: Heavy Metal / Power Metal Label: Nightmare Records Album Titel: A Time Of Changes Spielzeit: 45:53 VÖ: 09.09.2014 Project Arcadia haben ihr erstes Album "From The Desert Of Desire" vor fünf Jahren veröffentlicht. -

Heavy-metal in the 1970s was Blue Oyster Cult, Aerosmith, Kiss, AC/DC, Journey, Boston, Rush, and it was the most theatrical and brutal of rock genres. It was not easy to reconcile this genre with the anti-heroic ethos of the punk era. It could have seemed almost impossible to revive that genre, that was slowly dying, in an era that valued the exact opposite of machoism, and that was producing a louder and noisier genre, hardcore. Instead, heavy metal began its renaissance in the same years of the new wave, capitalizing on the same phenomenon of independent labels. Credit goes largely to a British contingent of bands, that realized how they could launch a "new wave of British heavy metal" during the new wave of rock music. Motorhead (1), formed by ex-Hawkwind bassist Ian "Lemmy" Kilminster, were the natural bridge between heavy metal, Stooges/MC5 and punk-rock. They played demonic, relentless rock'n'roll at supersonic speed: Iron Horse (1977), Metropolis (1979), Bomber (1979), Jailbait (1980), Iron Fist (1982), etc. -

GALLOWS END Nemesis Divine (Heavy Metal)

Review: Roadburn Saturday 12th After spending Thursday fighting Doom upstarts Windhand captivated a full exhaustion and experiencing prog heaven on Main Stage audience while Papir played Friday, Day Three of Roadburn was the day some more laid-back jams in a sweltering things got seriously nuts. As fun as seeing Stage 01, but yours truly was still reeling established acts is, discovering your new from Circle's psychotic set, and it wasn't favourite band here is a huge part of the until YOB kicked into their performance experience, and this day’s lineup was jam- of the album The Great Cessation that my packed with artists from both sides. energy returned. But that'll happen when you park yourself underneath the UK band 11Paranoias started off in towering monolith of a P.A. beside the sensational fashion with a soaring hybrid of stage. YOB is extraordinary, their sound doom and space rock, sounding dreamy yet thick enough to seem tactile. crushing in a revelatory performance. On the Main Stage, Noothgrush grushed its neeth as well as you'd expect. Led by Kimi Kärki of Reverend Bizarre, the Kosmische project E- Musikgruppe Lux Ohr began tentatively, but ever-so-slowly built momentum, with magnificent improvisation atop a hypnotic synth arrangement. As intense as Indian is on record, it pales in comparison to the live experience, and it felt like the guys were about to level the Patronaat with their distinct, malevolent doom. It was shattering, and when I left early the lineup was the longest for a Patronaat show I'd ever seen. -
