Another split this time Bandits Vs Aces, Schwarber went on a rampage the first two game he 4 Hr's in 7 Ab's. Aces Hit .308 Vs Bandits Staff but the bandits were able to get to the Aces relievers and pull out a split in the series with Bieber and Wheeler winning the final 2 games. “It's going to be an interesting season that's for sure”, said Bandits manager Tony Childers. Louisville was 6 - 6 after the series.

News Flash from Louisville: “I’m sad to see Staumont leave after 1 block but getting two quality reliviers will the pen.” Said GM Childers. Plus, our project of having rookie Evan White at first base isn’t working out. He’s hitting a buck nine with 2 rbi's in 46 AB's so I felt like we needed to bring in a tad bit better bat to man 1st base with Moore taking on a bulk of the ABs at 1st and a few at 3rd. So, when I could get Pujols in the deal to play first at times I knew I had to make the deal.”

Louisville First Ever No Hitter !! Shane Bieber (4-1) no hit Yorktown. The only thing spoiling the perfect game was a . Bieber K’ed 11 and lowered his ERA to 2.31. “Everything felt great” Bieber said. “I had a good , I felt I could throw it by everybody today.” Yorktown Mgr. , “We didn’t even have a decent chance for a hit today. It was pure abuse by Bieber.”

Dreamers off to slow start at 6-10 (3-5 home, 3-5 road), pitching has been a major issue with 4.48 ERA

through first 16 games. Rookie Edwin Rios off to good start with 8HR and 20 RBI.

Norwich Facts: “Good news, we’re done with the block! Bad news, we went 6-14”, said Mgr. McGraw. “We’re pretty bad, but with some moments of glory said McGraw. Such as Byron Buxton’s 2HRs on Opening Day and Dylan Cease 8 no-hit innings vs AS! Alas, they come far and in between, as will the wins this year.”

Manager Jeff Kent after the Jarheads took 3 of 4 at Klee’s, “Mike Trout is off to a great start in the 2021

season. After 12 games .353 7hr 18rbi.” USJ locker room after the series . After the series GM and Owner for Life visited the Klubber locker room. “I wanted to give the boys a pep talk.

It was nice that they asked me to hang around.” I don’t think this is what Roland had in mind when the players asked him to stay and “hang” around. It was more bullpen antics. The Klubbers blew a 6- lead in Game 2, then give up 5 runs in the 12th without allowing a hit as walks and hit batsmen rule the day. In Game 4, the Klub had a late 3 run lead only to lose the game in the 9th on a 1-4 BPHR roll. “We only manage to avoid a sweep in Game 3 when Jarhead acer closer, Britton uncorked a wild pitch in the bottom of the 9th.” “Why me? They should have hung the pen,” said Klee.

Blue devils visited Barons for home opener at the Stockyard. CT took game 1, 1-0 as Arrieta and CT pen out duel Smyly and WS pen. In game 2 down 4-0 in the 8th Barons bull their way back capped off by Renfroe’s 2- out GS. WS 8-4 W. GM3 Lamet is a monster - goes 8 11K, 4H in WS 3-0 win. GM4 Glasnow goes thru CT line- up giving up 1 H with 5 Ks but 2nd time thru Blue Devils tattoo him getting 4 in 4th 3in 5th & coast to 8-4 win. WS 6-6 after the series. Next up is Norwich.

FoggyMountain opened its 1st season in their new

home in sunny Florida this morning with Allyn St coming to town. The Angels won the first game ever played in Angels Park beating the 89ERS 14-1. The Angels lost the next two 9-7 and 6-3 but came back to earn a split of the series with a 6-5, win. The deciding run was scored by FoggyMountain in the 9th. After an out was recorded, Ian Happ lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' resulting in an exciting walk off win for FoggyMountain and a wild post-game celebration by the home town fans. “We’re happy to open the season with the split against a tough Allyn St team,” said manager Bruce Fogg. “That’s it from warm sunny Southern Florida where Jackets are not necessary!”

The “Death March” begins! Byron Buxton and Max Fried look pretty good, no idea how good Wall Street is as the rest of the Navigators would be better off on Chico’s Bail Bonds, lol! I mean bad- we had a chance to win G3, but our only legitimate reliever left on the roster for just such a situation (Duffey) promptly imploded, giving up 4 runs and the lead in the 7th without recording an out(!), the key blow being a ph 3r HR by Yolmer Sanchez (sic). “Gonna be a very long year”, said Mgr. John McGraw. Series Note: Luke Voit homered in EVERY game for the Barons, who feasted on anything less than Fried pitching= wow! “Yes, we’re 0-4, said owner Don Decker, as the team got onto the team bus, “No plane for these guys!”

rolling into Jarhead Territory shortly…

Illinois update: In a recent series at Illinois with Klee’s the fans saw great pitching and no hitting from both teams. Illinois was able to take the first three by the scores of 4-3 and by two gems of 1-0. In game one the dogs won it in the 9 th as Klee’s reliever, Bard gave up the lead in on a 1 out HR to Baez and a game winning single to Harrison. In game two, the first of the 1-0 gems, Klee’s starter, Mills was a CG loser. His only mistake was giving up a solo shot to Suarez to lead off the 6th. In the second gem, a 2 out solo shot to Marte in 9th of Hughes was the only run scored. Klee’s again were facing a losing sweep. The Klubbers finally scored some runs, 5 in the first 3 innings and

the Dogs could not get out of that hole . Klee’s again avoids getting swept.

from the School Yard: 1. Eddie Rosario at his 2200th hit his 80th career homerun. It came during the 1st game of series 4 with Taxachusetts off of . 2. Jose Ramirez at his 800th at bat hit a HR off of Norwich's, Max Fried. It was Ramirez 8th of the season. Allyn Street won the game 6-2. 3. In a game with CT, Travor Bauer recorded his 1200 th . He got CT’s Jake Cave. Bauer K’ed 10 in the game. 4. Travor Bauer in his 179 start, passed Doc Gooden for 8th All-Time. Bauer got his 90th win in the start as the 89ERS won 9-4.

In game 2 with Norwich, in the third inning Gausman retired the first two batters. Hernandez then worked a BB. Frazier followed with a HR. With a 2-nothing lead Norwich’s Dylan Cease went out and pitched the game of his life. Cease retired the first 14 89ERS before Tim LoCrastro worked a BB in the 5 th inning. Cease gave up another BB in the 6 th . Mgr. John McGraw sent the tired Cease out for the 7 th . 89ERS went down 1,2-3. In the 8th another 1,2-3 inning for Cease. The score was still 2-0. The crowd at the School Yard new something special was happening from the 6 th inning on. In the 9 th 89ER manager, Casey Stengel sent up Ty France to ph. France was hitting only .235 at the time. France spoiled the no hitter with a clean single. As McGraw was coming out of the dugout to remove Cease, the 89ER fans gave Cease a standing ovation! Cease showed he appreciated the fans as he tipped his cap as he went into the Norwich dugout.

There was still a game on the line. McGraw sent lefty Cabraea in to face Cano. Stengel ph for Cano, who was hitting .439, with Haggerty .250. “Maybe we’d get lucky again” said Casey. Haggerty K’ed. Fuentes was next and he K’ed. With Ramirez up against a lefty, McGraw ordered him intentionally walked. It was now up to Jared Walsh. Walsh was backing just over .200 at the time. With a weak grounder to second the game was over. Norwich held on for the 2-0 win. Norwich had 2 hits and the 89ERS just 1. Kevin Gausman was the unlucky loser as he K’ed 11 in 7 innings.

Promoted from West Broad Street for block two will be Josh Reddick. Reddick was batting .281 at West Broad with 4 doubles. “Reddick wasn’t ready to start the season so we sent him to AAA to get ready. We sure can use him”, said Casey Stengel. While Reddick was getting ready his replace did well, hitting .301. The problem is their limited experience (limited at bats.) Total over use of 78 at bats. Ouch. Joining Reddick will be Santiago Espinal. Espinal was batting .290 at AAA. “We need the depth at short, just in case.” Masahiro Tanaka will also join the parent club. Tanaka will be making his final tour of the FBN as he has signed to return to Japan for next season. Tanaka was 3-1, 1.35ERA with 34K’s in 26 innings.

The Kleeville Banjolele Orchestra rolls into Blue Diamond Park. Everyone thought it would take a long time to get them off the field. But, as usual this season, Klee’s went quickly and quietly. Taxachushetts scored 32 runs to 10 by the Banjo’s. Miggy had a pair of homers and DJ with 4 more hits in game one, a 17-1 romp. Game 2, was a 5-2 TX win. In game 3, somehow the Klubbers jumped out to a 5-0 lead helped by Arcia homers and they did hang on for dear life for a 5-4 win. But, game three while the Banjo’s were packing up the Chief’s took game 4, 6-2.

Gm 2 - Klubbers strand 10 and hit into 4 DPs on a bullpen day for the Chiefs. TX wins 5-2.

Gm 3 - Arcia homers to help the Klubbers jump out to a 5-0 lead, and they hang on for dear life, winning 5- 4. Lynn fans 12 in a losing effort. KK wins 5-4.

TEAM NOTE: LeMahieu had another big series: 8 for 16 with 2 HR. After 16 games, .492/.531/.847.

minor league news: The Wall Street Barons and the Atlanta Senators made a recent trade that affected the rosters of the Bankers and the Inferno. A report from Baron GM Joe Rutka has centerfielder, Albert Almora Jr., and two relievers, Yimi Garcia and Matt Wisler joining the Bankers while Mike Moustakas, who was also included in the trade will be joining the parent club, the Barons. Leaving the Bankers are Alex Reyes and Matt Shoemaker.
