2020 Buffalo Fanatics Draft Prospectus
2020 Buffalo Fanatics Draft Prospectus Director of College Scouting Steve Mathes _ @JudgeMathes Positional Outlook Quarterback Buffalo is not going to look to rock the boat by bringing in a legitimate threat to Josh Allen’s job, they believe in him as the franchise QB. Players Met With or “Linked-To” Likewise, they don’t appear to be looking to challenge Matt Barkley as a James Morgan - Florida International back-up either. He has a great relationship with Allen, isn’t threatening his job, and brings traits Allen doesn’t have like anticipatory throwing they hope will rub off on him. That leaves Davis Webb, the practice squad QB, as the only one at real risk of competition. The Bills met with Morgan, but this was before his stock significantly heated up. If the Bills decide to challenge Webb look for a UDFA QB to be the guy to do it. Running Back The Buffalo Bills have only two viable runners on their roster currently in Devin Singletary and TJ Yeldon. They will look to add a third to this tandem to replace Players Met With or “Linked-To” the departed Frank Gore. Cam Akers - Florida St. Gore was known as the “bruiser”. When he was on the field defenses tended to JK Dobbins - Ohio St. know what was coming. It appears from their list of potential targets the Bills Clyde Edwards-Hellaire - LSU are looking to buck that trend. Darrynton Evans - Appalachian St. Zack Moss - Utah On their list are mostly “All-Purpose Backs” and one guy who is all traits (SPEED) D’Andre Swift - Georgia in Darrynton Evans. -

Green at Cardinals practice today looked like the 2015 version,” Riddick tweeted. “He was on fire. Arizona has the potential to have top-five wide receiver group with DHop, AJ, Rondale Moore, and Christian Kirk.” The Cardinals have lots of depth now at QB: Kyler Murray saw his first snaps this preseason, but the wide receiver position with the additions for Green it was evident Kliff Kingsbury sees little value in giving and Moore this offseason. his superstar quarterback an extended preseason look. He played nine snaps against the Chiefs before giving TE: The tight end position remains one of the big way to Colt McCoy and Chris Streveler. Those nine question marks. Maxx Williams sits at the top of the snaps were discouraging, as Murray took two sacks and depth chart, but it is muddied with Darrell Daniels, only completed one pass. -

What the Broncos' 2014 Offseason Spending Spree Can Tell Us About
What the Broncos’ 2014 offseason spending spree can tell us about 2018 By Nicki Jhabvala Denver Post Feb. 21, 2018 This story always begins with a plane ride, because that was when the message was fully received. DeMarcus Ware, en route to Colorado to discuss the possibility of becoming a Bronco in March 2014, looked behind him and saw cornerback Aqib Talib sitting a few rows back. Both were bound for Dove Valley, both would sign on a dotted line and both would later be introduced as the newest members of the Broncos’ remade defense. The moment, 30,000 feet in the air, is when Ware knew what was happening. He could see John Elway’s vision for the Broncos after their embarrassing Super Bowl XLVIII loss to Seattle. “Just their mentality is a ‘now’ mentality. A mentality of, ‘I’m not looking forward to the next season or the season after that — the time is now,’ ” Ware told a crowd of reporters on his first day as a Bronco. “So when I looked back there in that back seat and I see Talib, I’m like, ‘You know what? They’re trying to get the job done.’ ” Those two joined free-agent safety T.J. Ward, as well as Emmanuel Sanders, a former Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver who would sign days later to be Denver’s No. 2 receiver in the wake of Eric Decker’s departure. The payout of nearly $125 million in veteran talent happened in the span of about five days, ensuring the Broncos were the talk of the offseason as Elway opened their checkbook and gave Peyton Manning a defense that would soon match their prolific offense. -

NFL Draft 2017 Scouting Report: QB Davis Webb, Cal
2017 NFL DRAFT SCOUTING REPORT JANUARY 13, 2017 NFL Draft 2017 Scouting Report: QB Davis Webb, Cal *Our QB grades can and will change as more information comes in from Pro Day workouts, leaked Wonderlic test results, etc. We will update ratings as new info becomes available. What a strange college journey for Davis Webb. As a true freshman (2013) at Texas Tech, right before the season starts, he gets sick and loses 40 pounds (from 200+ pounds down to 160+ pounds). He recovers quickly. He's expected to be the backup to walk-on starter Baker Mayfield in 2013, but immediately sees playing time in the first few games. Five games into the season for the 5-0 Red Raiders, he gets his first start versus Iowa State – he throws 56 times for 415 yards and 3 TDs in the 'Air Raid' offense, and the team jumps to a 6-0 record. The following week he goes for 462 yards and 2 TDs in a win over West Virginia…now, 7-0. He then loses his next 3 games, gets banged up in third loss and misses a few games. He returns for their bowl game, starts, and drops 403 yards and Arizona State with 4 TD/0 INT. An amazing run for a true freshman. Of course, Webb becomes the 'it' young QB in college football heading into 2014. He forced Baker Mayfield to transfer to Oklahoma. Webb's rolling again – he throws 22 TD passes in his first 7 games but gets hurt (ankle injury) in Tech's eight game and is out for the rest of the season – ankle and a shoulder injury. -

NFL Draft 2018 Scouting Report: QB Mike White, W. Kentucky
2018 NFL DRAFT SCOUTING REPORT JANUARY 28, 2018 Scouting Report: QB Mike White, W. Kentucky *Our QB grades can and will change as more information comes in from Pro Day workouts, leaked Wonderlic test results, etc. We will update ratings as new info becomes available. Mike White scored/graded as a solid-but-not-spectacular QB prospect in our statistical scouting model. When I watched the tape of him, he looked pretty good…nothing amazing. I saw some weak spots and noted some positives – a legit NFL QB prospect but maybe more of an NFL backup. I watched him at Senior Bowl week and he was solid but didn’t stand out. Then he goes into the Senior Bowl game and looks like the best QB prospect in Mobile, Alabama that day. I was watching the game live and wondering – could I have underestimated White’s tape? Could I just be underestimating White in general? It’s easy to look right past Mike White…everyone did at the 2018 Senior Bowl. 70% of the Senior Bowl QB discussion was debate about Josh Allen’s arm talent vs. accuracy. 29% of the Senior Bowl QB discussion was about what time Baker Mayfield’s flight was landing and whether he was really on the plane/coming to the event…and then waiting for him to do something foolish all week. The remaining 1% focus was on all the other QB prospects, including Mike White – he was easy to lose sight of with Allen, Mayfield, and then even Mason Rudolph and Luke Falk getting some attention during the week as well. -
