US Delegation Headed by Special Envoy Grenell Holds Talks in Kosovo - Prime Minister WASHINGTON, September 21 (Sputnik) -AUS delegation headed by Special Presidential Envoy Richard Grenell visited Kosovo, Prime Minister Avduilah Hoti said in a statement on Monday. "Extremely delighted with today's visit of the US delegation led by Ambassador] Richard Grenell. Kosovo is blessed with friends like the USA," Hoti said via Twitter. The visit followed a meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Hoti in Washington on September 4 during which the two officials signed an agreement on economic cooperation mediated by US President Donald Trump. During Grenell’s visit to Kosovo, both parties issued a joint statement hailing progress regarding the US-Kosovo Investment Incentive Agreement. The province of Kosovo and Metohia, historically a Serbian territory, was subject to an armed uprising led by the Albanian Kosovo Liberation Army terrorist organization. NATO used the conflict as a pretext for an unauthorized military campaign against Serbia and Montenegro in 1999 - then forming the federation of SR Yugoslavia - ultimately causing ethnic cleansing of much of the non-Albanian population in Kosovo and Metohia. In February 2008, the Kosovo Albanians unilaterally proclaimed independence from Serbia under US and EU tutelage. Kosovo has since become one of the world’s centers for organized crime and narcotics distribution and a major threat to the territorial integrity of neighboring Macedonia and Montenegro.

Trump January 11, 2018 There was a tectonic shift in governance when Donald Trump assumed the office of the President of the United States. Countless journalists, politicians, and social scientists are writing on this rupture with the past and detailing the long list of ‘not normal’ actions routinely committed by the President who flagrantly flouts liberal democratic norms and values that past presidents at least appeared to uphold. What these comments amount to are diagnoses of “Trump’s methodology,” or what we call Trump’s governing style, which defies just about every single expectation that citizens have of the President (Herbert, McCrisken, Wroe, 2019:3). What is not normal is that Trump’s governing style “has been one of violating norms; the social expectations that guide appropriate behavior for actors in a given context” (Havercroft et al. 2018:3). In this case, these expectations are those citizens have of the President in the world’s oldest purportedly democratic nation-state. Conventional interpretations characterize President Trump’s ‘not normal’ governing style as one or a combination of the following traits—narcissistic, ethno-nationalist, authoritarian, and neoliberal. These governing styles are seen as means to achieve four distinct but overlapping ends—self-adulation, white supremacy, an authoritarian state, and a neoliberal utopia.
