THE CHARACTERS:

Tom Mason, played by . In his late 30s to early 40s, Caucasian, tall and slim, with a beard and longish brown hair.

Matt Mason, played by Maxim Knight. Around 8, Caucasian, blond, slim.

Hal Mason, played by Drew Roy. In his early 20s, Caucasian, handsome, shorter than Tom, with short dark hair.

Ben Mason, played by Connor Jessup. In his late teens, Caucasian, with tussled dirty blond hair. A ridge of about eight to ten spikes or needles protrudes from his back, from the neck all the way down his spine.

Anne Glass, played by Moon Bloodgood. In her thirties, Native with olive skin, attractive, with long straight brown hair.

Lourdes, played by Seychelle Gabriel. In her late teens to early 20s, slim and attractive, with olive skin, long dark hair.

Dai, played by Peter Shinkoda. In his thirties, Asian, athletic, with short dark hair.

Captain Weaver, played by Will Patton. In his late 40s to early 50s, Caucasian, slim and most often scruffy.

Margaret, played by Sarah Carter. In her 20s, Caucasian, attractive and athletic, with long blond hair.

Anthony, played by Mpho Koaho. In his 20s, black, handsome and athletic, with short hair.

John Pope, played by Colin Cunningham. In his 30s, Caucasian, slim and handsome, with long dark hair and a beard.

Uncle Scott, played by Bruce Gray. In his late 50s to early 60s, Caucasian, slim and balding.

Skitters. Aliens with six legs and a bulbous head with sharp teeth in a fierce maw. Shorter than humans, but of about the same mass. They crawl like spiders, able to climb up vertical surfaces and hang from ceilings.

Mechs. Large robots, about twice as tall as an average human adult, made of metal. A huge spotlight shines on their chest. Four laser-like beams radiate from their heads, and when they come together on a target, a barrage of bullets or shells will instantly obliterate it.

Spindly aliens. About the same dimensions as a human adult, with a head, arms and legs, but very thin and spindly. Shiny and shimmering, so far the humans have only had furtive glances of them.

THE PLACES:

John F. Kennedy High School: A typical one storey school building, with a gym with wooden bleachers, an auditorium, several classrooms that have been converted into living quarters, an office and a lab that has been turned into Anne’s clinic to tend to the wounded.

THE THINGS:

The large alien structure over Boston: A massive building made of concrete and similar Earthbound materials. It sits on four legs and rises high above the skyscrapers of the city. From the top, several arms or wings expand outwards, covering much of Boston’s downtown core.

The 50 cal: A large machine gun, about as big as a human, which is typically mounted to the convertible car that Weaver rides.
