No. 183) Ordered, That following Leader remarks on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, the Senate proceed to executive session and resume consideration of the Protocol Amending Tax Convention with Swiss Confederation. Ordered further, That the only amendments in order to the Protocol Amending Tax Convention with Swiss Confederation, the Protocol Amending the Tax Convention with Japan, and the Protocol Amending Tax Convention with Luxembourg, be the Paul amendments number 922, 919, 923, 918, and 920. Ordered further, That at 11 a.m., the Senate vote on the resolutions of ratification for the above treaties; that if the resolutions are agreed to, the motions to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table and the President be immediately notified of the Senate’s actions. Ordered further, That following disposition of the Protocol Amending Tax Convention with Luxembourg, the Senate resume consideration of the nomination of Clifton L. Corker, of Tennessee, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee. Ordered further, That at 2 p.m., notwithstanding the provisions of Rule XXII, the Senate vote on the cloture motions on the following nominations: Clifton L. Corker, of Tennessee, to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Tennessee; Lynda Blanchard, of Alabama, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Slovenia; and Donald R. Tapia, of Arizona, to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Jamaica. Ordered further, That with respect to the motions to invoke cloture on the above nominations, the mandatory quorum calls required under Rule XXII be waived.
