Turn left out of Parking 19.1 T Junction Right Not signed? 20.1 Crossroads Left D13 towards Tilly sur Seulles This road formed the front line for much of June 1944. 50 Division, especially 151 Bde, mounted several attacks during this period, supported by 124 Fld Rgt RA. 22.2 This is the hamlet of Lingevres. Scene of much fighting from June 14 th when 9 DLI, supported by a squadron of 4/7 Dragoon Guards, attempted it’s capture. 24.0 Tilly sur Seulles CWGC cemetery on the right. 24.6 Crossroads Straight on D13 towards Fontenay le Pesnel. Parking 50 yards on right, park here and rejoin the main party by following the D13 back to the crossroads, follow the sign for the Musée de la bataille de Tilly sur Seulles (picture below). At present the route terminates here. The local authority of Tilly sur Seulles wish to welcome us formally. Guided museum tours and battlefield tours will be arranged.
