Administrative/Biographical History: Michael Francis Addison Woodruff, transplantation pioneer, was born on April 3rd 1911 and died on March 10th 2001. He became FRCSEd in 1957 and FRCSEng in 1947. Scrolls, framed items, books, certificates, honours, photographs and bibliographies were given to the College by Lady Woodruff, following Sir Michael's death. The College Museum mounted a display on Professor Sir Michael Woodruff, in April 2002 and this was visited by Lady Woodruff. It is a permanent exhibition and the archive and library hold certain items.
