Beau went on to become Attorney General of the state of Delaware and also served honorably in the Iraq War, earning the Bronze Star. He died of brain cancer in 2015. Hunter graduated Yale Law School and pursued a career in banking and finance, drawing scrutiny from President-Elect Biden’s political opponents. In 1977, Joe Biden remarried and he and Jill, a life-long educator, had a daughter, Ashley in 1981.
