Use a and cut four 1 1/4” x 1/4” clear glass strips. Clean your glass with a lint free cloth. 2. Cut a 2” X 2” piece of kiln paper. Remove the lid from the Fuseworks™ Kiln. Place the kiln paper on the kiln base. 3. In the center of the kiln paper, place glass so that it forms a rectangle (FIG 1), overlapping glass at the corners. 4. Next, apply a dot of fusing glue (recipe above) to the bottom of each millefiori and place on top of the clear glass rectangle. Space millefiori evenly around the frame and allow to dry thoroughly before fusing. 5. Carefully set the base with glass inside the microwave. Cover base and glass with kiln lid. FIG. 1 PLEASE NOTE: All microwave and kiln combinations will have different firing patterns. Be sure to take careful notes and log all fusing times for future use. Fuse using the chart below.

Add additional time in 30 second increments until desired results are achieved. Remove kiln from microwave using the Hot Mitts and place on a heat resistant surface. Cool the kiln on for at least 30 minutes with the lid on. CAUTION: Removing the lid or peeking under the lid during the cooling will result in your piece cracking. Glass remains hot for a long time and should be handled with great caution. 6. When cool, adhere a Word bead of choice inside the opening of the fused glass frame. Secure in place with glass adhesive such as E-6000®. Allow to dry according to glue manufacturer’s directions. 7. Cut a desired length of Buna cord. Slide one o-ring on each end of the cut cord until it rests about 1 1/2” up from the end. Wrap cord around the top edge of the pendant (near corner) to form a loop. Slip the end of the cord through the O-ring to secure. It will be tight, but the o-ring stretches. You can use needle nose pliers to stretch the 0-ring. Roll the o-ring down the cord towards the glass to tighten the loop. Trim cord ends if necessary. Repeat this on the left side. EARRINGS 1. Use a glass cutter to cut two 3/8” x 3/8” clear glass squares. Clean your glass with a lint free cloth. 2. Next, cut a 2” X 2” piece of kiln paper. Remove the lid from the Fuseworks™ Kiln. Place the kiln paper on the kiln base. 3. Select millefiori for each earring. Try to choose millefiori that are approximately the same height. Arrange milliefiori pieces into two groups of four on the kiln paper, 1/4” apart. This will prevent the glass from fusing together. Apply a dot of fusing glue (recipe above) to the top of each millefiori and cover with a clear glass square. Allow glue to dry thoroughly before fusing. 4. Carefully set the base with glass inside the microwave. Cover base and glass with kiln lid. PLEASE NOTE: All microwave and kiln combinations will have different firing patterns. Be sure to take careful notes and log all fusing times for future use. Fuse using the chart below.

Allow to dry according to glue manufacturer’s directions. For a little extra pizzazz, open the loop connecting the bail to the earring wire. Remove the small gold bead and slide a yellow, red and blue seed bead onto the wire. Finish by returning the gold bead and closing the end of the loop.
