1.1 Introduction to iTunes Server
The iTunes Server App can turn your NAS into your home’s audio and video streaming center. It allows you to share music and movies from your NAS with computers in the same network environment.
The file formats supported by iTunes Server are as follows:
Audio: AIF, M4A (AAC & Apple Lossless), M4P, M4R, MP3, WAV
Playlist: M3U, WPL
Video: M4V, MOV, MP4

2. Using iTunes Server
2.1 Playing music using iTunes Server
In the following example we will show you how to use iTunes Server to stream music from the ASUSTOR NAS.
STEP 1 Install the iTunes Server App from App Central.
STEP 2 Add music to the [Music] shared folder on the ASUSTOR NAS.

STEP 3 Open iTunes on your PC or Mac. You will see your ASUSTOR NAS under the “SHARED” heading in the left hand panel of the iTunes window. Click on it to begin browsing through and streaming your music.
