Considering Sites for Development in Bickleigh Parish (excluding Urban Fringe) Site Information Pack This pack contains: A Site Information Table This table sets out information about the constraints and opportunities for each site which have been considered. Depending on the constraints identified, we have concluded that there are either ‘significant constraints’ to development or ‘limited constraints’ to development. Site Maps These maps shows all of the sites which have been considered as part of this exercise.

Bickleigh - General Comments Bickleigh parish is located on the urban fringe of Plymouth. Most services and facilities in the parish are available at Woolwell (supermarkets, pub, community centre, doctor's surgery) and it is close to the city of Plymouth where a much wider range of services and facilities are available. Bickleigh Down Primary School is over capacity and there is a potential requirement for new primary provision to be provided in the area in partnership with Plymouth City Council. Financial contributions towards facilities and land may therefore be required from new development. Plymouth City Council is responsible for managing secondary school education in this area and the designated secondary school will therefore be within the city of Plymouth. Depending on the scale of new development, further secondary provision may be required and contributions towards facilities and transport, particularly relating to the A386 corridor.
