On top of all of that many of our favorite clubs will start featuring live music so be sure to check the calendar in the Bluesletter and online at “www.wablues.org” or on our Facebook page (Washington Blues Society). I just got a handy hint from our vice president on our calendar on our website that will make it easier to read. At the top of the calendar page there are three different viewing options whicwill allow you to use the calendar on your smart phones. You may have to experiment at first to find out the option that works best with your phone, but once you get the hang of it will be a handy app to make last minute plans when an evening frees up! By the time I reached Jazz Record Mart, I had worked up quite an appetite. I was hungry after I scaled the ancient building’s stairs. I bumped into then- Chicago bluesman Pat Smillie and asked him where brunch was served as Little Arthur Duncan tuned up in what looked like an impossibly small performance space in the corner. “Eric,” Pat said, pointing to the Dunkin’ Donuts and coffee at the side table, where Delmark recording artist Tail Dragger held court just a few moments ago, “this is the
