2001-02 Season Highlights • Started 14 straight games at shooting guard before missing two games with a stress reaction in his left foot. Returned to the lineup on Jan. 31 against Duke. • Has hit 18 of his last 58 field goal attempts in his last nine games, including 9 of 26 three-pointers.

• Had eight points, a blocked shot and a steal in his first college game, against Hampton. • Scored eight points, with six rebounds (four offensive) and three assists against Indiana. • Hit three free throws late in the game in the win over Georgia Tech. Got in early foul trouble, but had four assists and three steals. • Hit 4 of 5 shots (including 2 of 3 three-pointers) and finished with 11 points (a season-high) and five rebounds in the win over No. 15 Saint Joseph’s. • Snared a season-high seven rebounds against Virginia on Jan. 12 • Has a stress reaction in the third metatarsal bone in his left foot. Manuel missed two games before returning and playing 17 minutes against Duke on Jan. 31. He had one of his better games against the Blue Devils, finishing with five points, five rebounds and three assists in limited action. • Because of the nature of his injury, Manuel actually may not be able to practice for remainder of the season. • Had 12 points and two steals in 12 minutes (limited by two early fouls) in the win over Saint Joseph’s. • Against NC A&T, he had 11 points, nine rebounds (matching his career high), three assists (a career high), three blocked shots and a steal in 21 minutes. He hit a three-pointer, the second of his career and first since the Duke game on Feb. 27, 1999. • Started three straight games in place of the injured Kris Lang in late December. The starts were Bersticker’s first since his sophomore sea- son in 1998-99. He started at Hampton and Wake Forest that year. • In those three contests, Bersticker was 13 for 19 from the floor. His back-to-back double-figure scoring games vs. Saint Joseph’s and N.C. A&T were the first time he has scored in double figures in consecutive games since he had 11 against Duke (Feb. 27, 1999) and 12 vs. Georgia Tech (March 5, 1999) in the ACC Tournament. • Also started at Maryland on Jan. 9, scoring 10 points in 19 minutes on the floor.
