Marylin Vance - Costume Designer Marilyn Vance Is a Professional Costume Designer with Over 60 Notable Credits in film and Television Marylin Vance - Costume Designer Marilyn Vance is a professional costume designer with over 60 notable credits in film and television. She is known for her contributions to movies like Pretty in Pink, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Weird Science and the Die Hard films. Vance began her work the costume design world with the film The Misadventures Of Sheriff Lobo, a tv comedy series airing from the late 1970s to early 80s. Garrison Keillor once advised, “If you read your work out loud, it helps to know what’s bad.” Try it. It works. Dialogue always sounds better in your head.
