Legend College Preparatory 21050 McClellan Road, Cupertino, CA95014, USA Fully Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges How does it work?

Concurrent credit courses are offered through the collaboration between Legend College Preparatory (LCP) and San Jose State University (SJSU). These are college-level courses taught by a LCP faculty member on the LCP campus. The class is recorded on both the LCP transcript and the SJSU transcript, with a letter grade assigned. This enables a student to earn college credit while still in high school.

Does my child need this course?

These are factors you may consider:  AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics are applicable to many college majors and career preparation.  As AP level courses, they really offer the academic rigor to get your child prepared for the knowledge in the field.  LCP offers these college courses on campus for a fraction of the cost that families would have to pay at a four-year college or university.  These courses provide highly motivated high school students an opportunity to earn college credit even in their freshman and sophomore years (Require principal’s approval.).  Your child can start creating a strong GPA as this concurrent credit course gives an actual letter grade.  Improve your child’s prospects during the college admissions process as a result of college credits earned.  The option of not having to take the AP exam will make room for other AP exams that must be taken.  This is the beginning of your college career at SJSU or you can transfer 4 units you earn in economics to any university.  Your child receives better academic support in a small group environment than in an actual college campus.  College units accumulated will put your child in a seniority status in class and housing selection at the beginning of his/her college years.  Make a personalized college study more possible. Your child may either choose to go at a slower or an accelerated pace.
