Medical Information Children who need to take medicine must submit the actual prescription bottles, inhalers, or epipens in a ziplock bag labeled with your child's name. All medicines will be given to Mr. Lange on the morning of the trip. In the event that your child is evaluated by the Nurse at the School of Conservation or another staff member and it is determined that the child must go home due to illness, it is the responsibility of the parent to pick up their child from the School of Conservation (Directions are enclosed in this packet). In event of an emergency the nearest hospital is Newton Hospital. Newton Hospital, phone number is 973 -383-2121. Turn left at traffic light onto Route 23 north, pass-shopping area, turn right onto Route 653, Clove Road for 7.2 miles. Left turn onto Route 206 for approximately 7.5 miles, left turn after the Ftatbrook Taphouse onto Hotel en Road. Follow road straight after stop sign to Flatbrook Road. The lake is on your right and campsites on both sides of the road, Cross over a stone bridge, bear left and go up the hill. At the top of the hill, is the entrance for the School of Conservation. At this location (Sequoya Campus) the buildings are . painted bam red with white trim. If you are going to the main office or the Wapalanne Campus, continue to follow the road around the lake. Comfortable and practical clothes are recommended. One of the most important articles of clothing are shoes and they should be sturdy enough to withstand the rocky ground which covers much of the campus. If you are coming during the winter, warm boots are a must (we recommend "Sorel" type boots).

Students should leave jewelry, radios and other expensive items at home. Name-tags are recommended for all personal belongings. The New Jersey School of Conservation is not responsible for lost articles.

The following list should prove to be helpful when packing for a three-day stay at NJSOC. Students staying four or five days should make the necessary adjustments in quantities. All sleeping quarters are heated.
