Hertford Crime Figures 1st April 2017 – 23rd March 2018

FLIXTON/FOLKTON MUSTON REIGHTON/SPEETON HUNMANBY

Crime Report – Hunmanby

Folkton and Flixton Crime report There was one crime reported in March 2018, however due to the sensitive nature of the report it is not appropriate to disclose any information at this time.

Anti-Social Behaviour There was a report from a resident complaining about caravans in a field to the rear of her house. The reporting person was advised to contact the field owner and the council and advised that this was not a police issue.

Traffic Matters There was a report of a possible drink driver heading into Flixton. Police attended the area but the vehicle could not be located.

Reighton and Speeton Crime Report

Theft There was a report of a theft of two cycles from a garden in Speeton. There were no lines of enquiry to follow and the matter was filed.

Violence There was an incident at Reighton Sands were a male had an altercation with door staff and at some point the male had a knife in his possession. Police attended and the male was arrested for a public order offence. His wife was arrested after being found in possession of a knife. No further action was taken against her after it was discovered that she only had the knife after she took it off her husband. He later received an official police caution. Anti-Social Behaviour No ASB reported in March 2018 Traffic Matters No traffic related matters reported in March 2018.

Hunmanby Theft / Burglary / Auto Crime A number of allotment sheds were broken into or damaged. At this time no suspects formally identified but it is possible that it could be linked to the same offenders for the criminal damage incidents below. A Transit van was stolen from outside an address. No suspects have been identified to date but the matter remains under investigation. Please note there has been an increase in the thefts of Transit vans in the Scarborough area stolen without keys which would suggest that there is some kind of master key being used. We would

urge any people who own, or know someone who own, a Ford Transit to consider extra security such as steering wheel locks. There have been two separate thefts at the Co-Op. One of the suspects was captured on CCTV but is yet to be identified. In relation to the second theft the store are yet to provide police with the CCTV footage. Both incidents remain under investigation. Criminal Damage A number of vehicles have been damaged in the Sands Lane, Howes Road, Bardney Road, and Constable Road areas. Two males were arrested on the night and remain under investigation. It is possible that the same suspects were involved in breaks in’s and damages to the allotment sheds the previous evening. Violence There was a domestic incident where a male assaulted his partner. He was arrested and later charged and granted bail under conditions not to enter Hunmanby, and not to contact the victim in any way. The following day he breached these conditions by contacting her. This was reported to police and he was arrested and put before the next available court. Anti-Social Behaviour There was a noise compliant from a resident regarding noise from his neighbours. Advice was given and the situation is being monitored by the local team. Traffic Matters There was a report of a possible drink driver heading into Hunmanby. Police attended the area but the vehicle could not be located.

Anti-Social Behaviour No ASB reported in March 2018

Traffic Matters There was a three vehicle road traffic collision where minor injury was caused to one of the drivers. The matter is currently under investigation.

Good News Stories Local Events A resident, James THORNTON who is Meet the team at The Spring Café the a habitual drinker was recently been church rooms 1Church Hill Hunmanby on issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order the following dates between 1000hrs and (CBO) which prohibits him from being 1200hrs found in a state of drunkenness in any public place and from being in possession 28/04/2018 of any open container of alcohol in a 26/05/2018 30/06/2018 public place. Although from Filey, 21/07/2018 25/08/2018 THORNTON is known to frequent Muston and Hunmanby. Breaching this order is an 22/09/2018 27/10/2018 offence for which he can be arrested and 24/11/2018 08/12/2018 also imprisoned. A police surgery will be held at Reighton Village Hall between 0900 and 1200hrs on the following dates.
