Under North Carolina Workers’ Compensation law, the em- ployer has the right to direct the medical care. This means they can send you to the doctor of their choice. That is an additional reason why you should notify your employer.
Your employer cannot direct your medical care or send you to a doctor if they do not know about your injury.
