Stage Make-up Information

In order to provide an expressive and unified look to all our dancers important in group dances please find listed below the colors that have been approved for dancers at the Edmonton School of Ballet and VimyDance. Items are listed with as much information as possible so that you can purchase these items easily. Information on stage make‐up application can be found on our website at www.esbdance.com and will be demonstrated at our hair and make-up workshop. The sharing of make‐up is not recommended due to bacteria and cross-contamination issues that can come up. We recommend replacing make-up annually also for contamination prevention due to shelf life limitations once products are opened.

Pre‐made kits can be ordered thru the ESB Parents’ Committee (order at [email protected]) to save you the hassle of finding the items on your own. Proceeds from the sale of make-up kits support the school. Please note we make these kits early because product availability can diminish later in the dance season. We make a limited number of kits but will do everything possible to provide you with a kit if we sell out. For this reason we recommend ordering early (watch for information in your emails on sale dates). Some extra product may be available (eyeshadow, lashes, etc.) in the snack barre additionally.

If you have allergies or skin sensitivities, we offer the following advice:

Using a high quality, hypo allergenic foundation can often resolve these issues, as it will provide an effective base barrier. This should allow students to use the make‐up in the kit. If skin reactions still occur, the following Clinique brands are suggested:  Color Surge Eye shadow Trio in Totally Neutral  Blushing Blush Powder Blush in Breathless Berry  Kohl Shaper for eyes in Black Coffee  Long Last Lipstick in Red, Red, Red.
