* Federal grants within the “Every Succeeds Act” (ESSA) Title I provides supplemental programming, technology and materials in seven of our elementary schools to help level the playing field for children of poverty. * Professional learning opportunities for teachers and administrators is a major focus, with considerable support from our two Literacy Coaches, as well as funding through Title II-A Teacher Quality. * Neglected & Delinquent addresses the unique needs of neglected or adjudicated youth. * Before and after-school and summer programming is supported through the federally-funded Title I program, 21st Century Community Learning Centers, and the FACTS program offered at all 10 elementary schools. * School readiness is a major focus through several early childhood programs—Title I preschool classrooms at Killip and Leupp, the Eagles Crest and Little Ropers Child Enrichment Centers, and kindergarten transition through the KinderCamp summer program provided in partnership with United Way of Northern . * The Family Resource Center offers support to families through K-12 tutoring, adult classes in CPR/First Aid and ESL, access to technology and parenting materials, Spanish translation services, referral for community services, and information regarding school programs. * The FRC also houses the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Program, with intake/referral services, a food, clothing and school supply bank, and access to a shower and laundry facility.

Frank was born and raised in Flagstaff. He is a graduate of Flagstaff High School and Northern Arizona . He has served in FUSD as a teacher, counselor and principal for 25 years. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from NAU as well as his Principal and Superintendent Certificates. He currently sits on the Board of Northern Arizona Girls on the Run. He also sits on the Arizona Department of Education Committee of Practitioners and is involved with the Raymond Educational Foundation. He is an avid reader and enjoys hiking, biking, camping and sports, especially baseball. He appreciates being able to live, work and be involved in the community where he grew up. He and his wife Jean have three grown children and two grandchildren.
