Named the Pac-12 Men’s Coach of the Year in 2019, Anderson led the men’s team to a second-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships (best since 2005), as UCLA scored 140 points (highest since 2004) and garnered a trio of Pac- 12 champions in Simon Litzell (javelin), Robert Brandt (10K) and Sondre Guttormsen (pole vault). Alyssa Wilson had a strong season with the women’s program, scoring 26 points between the discus (1st), hammer (2nd) and shot put (2nd) at the conference meet, the highest of any male or female athlete, en route to being named the Pac-12 Women’s Athlete of the Meet. Wilson went on to earn USTFCCCA West Regional Field Athlete of the Year honors and was a three-time first-team NCAA Outdoor All-America selection.
