Capps’ average fastball velocity of 97.9 ranks fourth in the Majors, according to Fangraphs, behind Aroldis Chapman (99.6), Arquimedes Caminero (98.2), and Kelvin Herrera (97.9). Capps now ranks seventh in the NL in strikeouts by a reliever, while A.J. Ramos (45) ranks fourth.
