Por un lado, plantearemos, desde el prisma sociológico, los rasgos identitarios del ciudadano contemporáneo dentro de un esquema productivo que ubica al sujeto como ente social. Por otro lado, y como consecuencia de esta primera reflexión, nos preguntaremos por el margen de acción o, mejor dicho, de reivindicación, que le queda al individuo, una vez dilucidada su esfera significativa, esto es, el plano ontológico que lo define en el organigrama actual. A partir de aquí, resultará pertinente interrogarse por el hipotético papel corrector y transformador, a un nivel micro y macrosocial, que puedan desempeñar actualmente los nuevos perfiles de los ciudadanos en un mundo post-industrial. -

Desde hace ya cinco años, Madrid cuenta con un Festival Internacional de Documentales que atrae a un gran número de espectadores y es, a la vez, foro y lugar de encuentro para los profesionales del género. Un género, el cine de no ficción, que abarca una enorme variedad de propuestas, desde las puramente estéticas e innovadoras, hasta las que promueven enfoques de mayor calado, que evidencian las más variadas realidades sociales, culturales, artísticas o medioambientales. 6 En su edición de 2008, y como ya es habitual, Documenta tiene su principal foco de interés en su Sección Oficial. En ella, junto a las proyecciones de películas en sus dos formatos, corto y largometraje, en los que prima la originalidad, habrá un concurso de reportajes, que valorará especialmente el tratamiento y la presencia de la actualidad. Pero, además, el festival se nutrirá de sus siempre enriquecedoras secciones informativas. En ellas, destaca el homenaje a la figura de Michelangelo Antonioni, el enigmático cineasta, escritor y pintor italiano, célebre autor de la trilogía La aventura, La noche y El eclipse, que tanto dio que hablar a los cinéfilos españoles a comienzos de los sesenta, y sorprendente creador, más tarde, de Blow-up. Antonioni fue un gran innovador del cine y cultivó el género documental, a pesar de que su obra en este campo es prácticamente desconocida. Para tratar de rescatar del olvido esta valiosa faceta, se proyectarán algunos de sus trabajos. Muy vinculado a la mejor etapa de Antonioni, se ha programado también otro ciclo retrospectivo, Recuerdos del 68, con películas que evocarán los movimientos sociales y políticos del período, así como los sucesos de Mayo del 68 en París, coincidiendo con su 40 aniversario. -

The Complete translation of Gandhi’s repertoire resulted in the formation of subversive groups, or Contentious Communities, whiCh shared the Common goal of desegregation and Cultural integration of the southern black population. These Contentious Communities regrouped in nonviolent efforts, and interaCted as a groupusCule with the same ideology. This adaptation of nonviolent ideology and strategy also recently occurred in what is known as the 15M movement in Spain. Earlier, I described the struggle in a time of social coales- cence as a constantly expanding web of relationships. That ex- pansion gave people a new pulse. It contradicted the unflag- ging march of alienation. But when it seemed to subside, peo- ple lost the collective heartbeat they had only just found. They did not lose the pulse because it had disappeared, but because the expansion that gives it meaning is not quantitative. It is no mistake that the science of Capital teaches us to recog- nize only one form of expansion. Because we are blinded to the horizons towards which the social body expands, we lose hold of it and fall back to the flat reality of alienation. Sadly, the same magic that makes the social body stronger than the chains of the State also shakes off those who have been trained to think geometrically, as much as they would like to remain in the presence of that new and growing collectivity. -

EXTRACTS from A HISTORICAL ENCYCLOPAEDIA of SPANISH ANARCHISM by Miguel Iñiguez (Translated by Paul Sharkey) http://www.christiebooks.com 1. CARBÓ CARBÓ, Eusebio. Palamós 1883-Mexico 1958. Coming from a family of federalists and anti-clericals, he was active in the Federalist Youth before going over to anarchism following his reading of Godwin, Proudhon, Kropotkin and Bakunin and observation of the world around him. A bit of a globe-trotter (even in his prison experience, seeing the inside of nearly sixty prisons from the age of 18 onwards) he lived for a long time in Valencia and travelled Europe and the Americas (he was especially familiar with Italy and knew many of the Italian anarchists, like Malatesta, Borghi and Fabbri, being much impressed by Malatesta). Early in the century (1905) he was close to the Avenir group and by the time the First World War came around he was an anarchist of some prestige. In 1915 he attended the congress in El Ferrol (representing Solidaridad Obrera), in 1918 he was at the Anarchist Conference in Barcelona, was present at the International Labour Congress in Geneva and the sixth congress of the F.N.A. in Valencia (where he was outstanding for his vehemence and hard line). His presence at the La Comedia congress in 1919 has been described as crucial: he drafted the anarchist manifesto, was on the working party on propaganda and opposed the line taken by Quintanilla. In the ensuing years he was a leading representative of the most anarchist tendency (and from 1921 stood out on account of his condemnation of the dictatorship of the proletariat). -
