Field Survey Oriented Research  Conducted extensive village to village field survey of about 156 villages in Belgaum district.

 Actively involved in field survey oriented historical research and explored archaeological sites including Megalithic site at Halasi in Karnataka in 2000.

 Explored Shiva temple and sculptures at Chapgaon in Khanapur taluk.

 Brought to light several temples, Shaiva, Shakta, Vaishnava and Jaina sculptures by field survey explorations.

 Unearthed, discovered and deciphered over 500 memorial sculptures like satigals, Veeragals, Nishidhigals and war memorials in different parts of Belgaum district.

 Unearthed 23 memorial sculptures at Uchagaon in Belgaum district.

 Published over 50 research papers in national and international journals.  Presented 65 research papers in national and international seminars, workshops, symposiums and conferences.  Framed BA Vth and VIth Semester History Syllabus on Tourism Studies and European History, UG course of Rani Chennamma University, Belgaum.  Conducted Certificate courses on Archaeology, Ancient Indian Culture and Tourism.  Organised study tours to world heritage sites of India like Delhi, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, Rajasthan, Coorg, Kanyakumari, Mysore, Mahabalipuram, Pondicheri, Ajanta, Ellora and Elephanta for Tourism students every year.

 In 2013-14 successfully guided two M.Phil dissertations: Inscriptions and Memorial sculptures of Chikkodi Region – A Study (Shankar Mugali) and Sculptural Wealth of Hunagunda Region – A Study (Yallappa Chalawadi).

Extension Activities  Organized several conferences and seminars on History, heritage and Tourism.  Actively involved in creating heritage awareness among youths by organizing Save Historical Heritage Programs.  Delivered several heritage awareness lectures to youths and general public  Conducted awareness camps in Gram Panchayats in villages where monuments are housed.  Restored, cleaned and conserved many monuments at Halasi, Degaon, Degulahalli, Nesargi, Hangaraga, Konnur, Hukkeri and other places.
