At the age of 14 Jack Harrison left Manchester United's academy to pursue his academic and athletic goals at Berkshire School in America. After a tremendous four years with Berkshire, and Black Rock FC, Harrison was awarded a full scholarship to play at Wake Forest University. In a breakout season Jack became the first player in ACC history to earn Offensive Player of the Year Award as a freshman. That winter Jack was selected as the #1 overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft and quickly became a starlet with New York City FC. In the winter of 2017 Jack received his first international cap with the England U21's. On Jan 30th, 2018, Jack was sold to Manchester City for 6.5 million dollars. Bombo sports specializes in documentary films of sports teams and stars. The production company has made feature films for Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Eagles, and Duke University Basketball. Sports documentaries include collaborations with ESPN, CBS, FOX, and A&E. PETER KENYON Peter Kenyon served as the Chief Executive Officer for Manchester United Football Club from 1997- 2003. He is credited with securing major corporate sponsorship deals with Vodafone and Nike, a merchandising arrangement with the New York Yankees, as well as the club's exposure in the asian market. Between 2003-2009 he served as the CEO for Chelsea Football Club. SAM KENNEDY Sam Kennedy serves as the president and CEO of the Boston Red Sox. Previously, Kennedy served as the president of Fenway Sports Management (FSG). He was heavily involved in FSG's purchase of the English Premier League club Liverpool FC and was in charge of expanding Liverpool's global commercial operations. TOMMY KAIN Tommy Kain most recently served as the Director of Sports Marketing at Nike. He played collegiate soccer at Duke University where he was named the 1985 Hermann Trophy winner as the top collegiate player. He earned five caps with the U.S. national team between 1986 -1987 and was the first American born soccer player to play professionally in Germany. A D V I S O R Y B L A C K R O C K F C BRFC STRUCTURE PREP ACADEMY STRUCTURE PREP ACADEMY + ELITE The best players in the Prep Academy will be identified and invited to play with the elite teams which will participate in three national showcase events and friendlies against US Development Academy teams. PREP ACADEMY + PREMIER All of the players in the Prep Academy will be eligible to play on one of the premier teams which will participate in three regional showcase events. PREP ACADEMY All members of the Prep Academy will participate in a regionalized training program and play in the BRFC Academy League through the winter and spring. This will also include two exclusive BRFC College Showcases and one College Recruiting Forum for parents and players. S T R U C T U R E B L A C K R O C K F C PREP ACADEMY Training & Academy League Players in the BRFC Academy will train by region throughout the winter and spring. The BRFC Academy League runs through the winter and spring season and includes regular match play on Sundays. Showcases & Recruitment Education Players in the BRFC Academy participate in our two exclusive BRFC College Showcases and the annual College Recruitment Forum. Leadership & Character Development The leadership program include workshops utilizing discovery based learning through personal reflection, self assessment, group work, and presentations. In addition our five part speaker series will feature high profile individuals who each have personal connections to the club. Prep Team Camp The BRFC Prep Team Camp is an exclusive offering for all of our partner prep schools. It is an opportunity for entire teams to spend a week training on state of the art facilities, engage in unique team building activities, and participate in leadership training. Global Learning Initiatives BRFC Academy players will be offered opportunities to travel the world and experience football from a variety of perspectives. Participants will play friendly soccer matches against local clubs, partake in cultural exchange activities, and engage in community service projects. College Counseling Services The BRFC College Counseling Services will be available to provide general guidance and support for BRFC players and parents no matter where they are in their recruitment process. This includes understanding appropriate recruitment timelines, effective communication with college coaches, and NCAA eligibility rule and regulations. PDL franchises provide the elite amateur player the opportunity to train and compete at the highest level while maintaining their collegiate eligibility. The league has proven to be an important stepping-stone for top professionals now playing throughout the world, with 70% of all MLS draftees having PDL experience. Unofficially, it is considered to be the fourth tier of competition, behind Major League Soccer, the North American Soccer League, and the United Soccer League.
