NAIT students had a chance to get informed about the role NAITSA plays around the school. Students’ Asocia- tion president Jonathan Bilodeau held a town hall meet- ing in the Shaw Theatre on Sept. 17 at 12:15 and 5:15 p.m. The objective was to explain and elaborate on infor- mation students need to make political changes around the school. “I felt it was important for me, being in my role,” said Bilodeau. “It’s my job to know the contract. It’s not our student mem- bers responsibility, so it is my responsibility to know the facts and make sure everyone is well informed.”

Top issues for students The meeting touched on what NAITSA is in charge of around the school and the top issues that concern students. It seems that U-Pass issues have been a developing debate, since it wasn’t until this year that Continuing Education students have been allowed to vote in referendums like the one last Feb- ruary for the U-Pass. Although there has been an increase in support for the U-Pass, with almost 80 per cent of voting students in favour, NAITSA is looking into the kind of shift that may take place with the new students that are now allowed to have their voices heard. Only around 20 students showed up to the town hall meetings. “I always want our student members to be engaged and know about the community that they are in, but students are busy, they are working,” Bilodeau said. “I completely get it and that is why we are putting this up online to make it as accessible as possible.” File photo So the presentation that was made at town hall will also be Jonathan Bilodeau available on the NAITSA website. MOVIE REVIEW

We’re theI have seenMillers it twice and definitely want to watch it “You knowscores what I’m sayin’?” By MUHAMMAD WAQAS If you have seen We are the Millers already, then you again. I highly recommend everyone watch this movie, and should watch it again and if you have not, then spoiler you will not have any regrets about spending the money. If alert. This movie was the best comedy movie of the year so far, though a few people might not agree with me. The movie revolves around a fake family who tries to smug- gle marijuana into the United States. Even though Jennifer Aniston has aged over time, her work in this movie could be defined as a job well done. If we briefly look at the main characters, everyone did a great job. The chemistry between Aniston as Sarah “Rose” the stripper and Jason Sudeikis as David Clark, a drug dealer who forms the Miller family, was an amazing choice. Emma Roberts as Casey Mathis, a runaway teenage girl and Will Poulter as Kenny Rossmore, a virgin neighbour were the fake kids in the Miller family. They show there is a possible future in Hollywood with their A class performances. Though the movie failed to lead the box-office in its first week, with the passage of a few weeks, it has grossed $100-mil- lion and continues to climb. The Warner Bros. movie has a potential to become a new comedy series. The critics, however, did not like the movie and slammed the R-rated production. Regular audiences have felt differently. It is definitely the movie for those looking for raunchy summer laughs that do not require much thinking and will definitely satisfy for the price. I am sure after watching this movie you will not have any regrets about the money spent. It was a great film, funny, rude and tremendous. I asked other students who have watched the movie what they thought. “Movie of the summer,” said Zain Mahmood. “The most hilarious film I have seen in a long time,” said Aamer gnnaz.com Mohammad.

Are you tired of the same first date over and over again? Dinner, movie, you’ve seen it all. Well maybe you just haven’t run into Curtis Lizotte yet. A first date with this young fella could be life changing! Lit- erally. He’ll have you squealing with excitement out of those first date heels you specifically picked out for the hunk. And hey, don’t even think about reaching for the check at the end of the night! Curtis says he wouldn’t dream of letting a lady pick up the tab on a first date. Health and fitness are important to this love guru. So don’t you even think about bringing those smelly, cancer causing cigarettes around dear Curtis. Good news! That’s his only catch. He just doesn’t want his lady filling her beautiful lungs with harmful smoke. But as long as you have a nice smile, Mr. Lizotte will be falling head over heels for you. www.dailyinspiration.nl Are you hot and single? BAND REVIEW Folk, rock, electro? It works! By CHRIS FIGLIUZZI Assistant Entertainment Editor @chrisfigliuzzi These days, everything is compartmentalized. From music to art to studies and even people are sorted and div- ided up based on unique, and sometimes arbitrary, char- acteristics. Often we are told this compartmentalization makes life easier and more manageable and thus more enjoyable. But art and music isn’t meant to be compart- mentalized. No, music is meant to be played and experi- mented with. Music though, has and always will be about pure enjoyment. We play and experiment with music purely in the hope of finding some combination that gives us the greatest level of enjoyment. Edmonton’s own Death by Robot is the wonderful result of this experimentation, bringing an almost impos- sible to believe combination of folk, rock and electro music to life in a way that is sure to have you tapping along in no time.
