1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in United Nations Development Business. 2. The through the Government of India has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) towards the cost of the Kerala State Transport Project - II (KSTP-II). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract listed below, for which this Advertisement is issued. 3. The Project Director, Project Management Team, Kerala State Transport Project, Kerala, (hereinafter called “the Employer”), now invites sealed bids for and on behalf of the Governor of Kerala from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of the Works.

Bidding will be conducted through the national competitive bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (Revised June 2015), and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the Guidelines. 5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information on the bidding documents at the Office of the Project Director, at the address given below on or after 28.09.2015 to30.10.2015 on working days from 10:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs (local time). Bidding documents can also be viewed on the website of the employer at www.keralapwd.gov.in, but the documents on the website are for reference purpose only and not for submission. 6. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee as stated in the above Table on or after 28.09.2015 to 30.10.2015 on working days from 10:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs (local time). The mode of payment will be through Demand draft payable at in favor of “The Project Director, Project Management Team , KSTP, Thiruvananthapuram”. Bidding Documents requested by mail will be promptly dispatched by registered/speed post/courier on payment of additional charges of Rs.1000/- Project Director will not be held responsible for the postal delay if any, in the delivery of the document and non receipt of the same. 7. A pre-bid meeting will be held on 12.10.2015 at 11:00 hrs at the Office of the Project Director to clarify the issues and to answer quarries on any matter that may be raised at that stage as stated in ITB Clause 7.4 of ‘Instructions to Bidders’ of the bidding document. 8. Bids must be delivered to the address below by 14:30 hrs (local time) on 30.10.2015. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security as stated in the above Table shall remain valid for a period of 45 (Forty five days) beyond the original bid validity period of 120 days. The bid security shall be in the form of an Unconditional bank guarantee from any nationalized bank/ scheduled bank in India. The bid security must be drawn in the name of The Project Director, Project Management Team , KSTP, Thiruvananthapuram”. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened at 15:00 hrs (local time) on 30.10.2015 in the presence of the bidders/authorized representatives who choose to attend at the address below. 9.
