SPRING OPEN April 9Th-10Th, 2021 FRIENDS UNIVERSITY – SPRING OPEN April 9th-10th, 2021 Entry Procedure: Meet open to Collegiate and Unattached athletes. Entries will be done through DirectAthletics. All entries must be verified through TFRRS or Athletic.net/Milesplit Final Declarations are due by Wednesday, April 7th @5:00pm CT Entry Limit: Unlimited entries per team. Timing: Timing is TBD. There will be Live Results. Parking: Parking will be located right next to the outdoor track facility. Team Camps: Team camps will be located in designated areas outside of the track in order to effectively maximize the capacity limits of the track facility. Please check with the event staff for where your team camp area will be located. Entry Fee: $275 per men’s team and $275 per women’s team, $25 per unattached athlete. We accept cash or check. Make checks payable to: Friends University Track & Field Check-In: Please pick up your coaches packet and pay entry fees at the front gate. Spikes: 1/8 or ¼ pyramid spikes only. No needle or Christmas tree spikes. Spikes may be checked at the beginning of the event. Check-In: 1) 30 minutes prior to your event on the track, pick up your hip numbers near the start/finish line. Check in with the clerk at the appropriate start line. 2) Field event competitors report directly to your event area 45 minutes before the event starts. Weight-In: This will take place in the red track shed on the NW corner of the track facility. Certification of throwing implements will be done beginning 90 minutes prior to the start of the event. Minimal Marks: There are no minimal marks for this event. Athletic Training: An athletic training staff will be present for the entirety of the competition. You will need to provide your own equipment (tape, etc.) in order to have services performed. Hydration: To minimize the amount of physical contact on communal surfaces, there will be no water jugs provided. You will need to bring your own bottled water to the competition. Covid-19 Protocols Screening: On-site screenings for all student-athletes and coaches will be mandatory before entering the facility at the beginning of each day of competition. Once screened, you will receive a wristband that indicates you are permitted into the facility for that specific day. This wristband must be worn at all times during the competition. Spectators: There will be no spectators allowed for the meet to assist in physical distancing. Masks/Face Coverings: Required upon arrival for all individuals to campus or competition venue. This includes but not limited to restrooms, hallways, locker rooms, competition venue, etc. Teams (including staff/coaches) will be required to wear mask/face coverings at all times including warm ups and cool downs. Masks/face coverings may be removed while performing a competition level rep in warm ups and during competition, but must be put back on within a reasonable amount of time after rep has been completed. Facility Availability: Restrooms and team camps areas will be available. The rest of the building will be closed to teams (including staff/coaches). There will be no loitering in hallways or using parts of the building not deemed necessary for hosted competition. Game Day Screening: Game day screening must take place within 6 hours of the event for all team personnel and be administered be a medical professional or other qualified staffs. Failure to Comply: Failure to follow COVID protocols will result in team (including staff/coaches) dismissal from the competition.
