THE HON BEN MORTON MP Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister and

Ben Morton was elected as the Federal Liberal Member for Tangney in 2016. In May 2019 he was appointed Assistant Minister to the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

In the Parliament Ben Morton has undertaken significant committee work, including chairing the Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories.

Prior to entering Parliament Ben Morton worked as a bus driver, an adviser to the Howard Government, and for one of Australia’s largest home builders, BGC.

Ben Morton is in Parliament for hardworking Australians and families who want to apply their effort and succeed. He is committed to helping build an Australia that empowers people, that rewards individual and community effort and where everyone can reach their full potential.

ANNA BLIGH AC Chief , Australian Banking Association is a respected Australian leader and former of . Since 2017, she has led the Australian Banking Association through a period of critical reform, delivering on the recommendations of the Royal Commission. While working to strengthen bank culture and rebuild trust, Anna has also driven the industry’s response to COVID-19. She was instrumental in delivering a united approach by Australia’s banks, ensuring millions of customers were supported through the pandemic.

Anna was the Premier of Queensland from 2007 – 2012. She delivered significant economic reform to the state, including investment in infrastructure, science, innovation and the arts. In 2011, Anna managed the state’s response to a devastating series of natural disasters including cyclones and floods. After her retirement from politics, Anna was appointed CEO of YWCA, NSW with a mission to build a safer world for women and children. She was awarded the Companion of the Order of Australia in 2017 for services to the , and as an advocate for education, the role of women in public life and services to the not-for-profit sector.

Anna is a non-executive director of Medibank Private and Playwriting Australia and holds Honorary Doctorates from the and Griffith University.

JACQUI CURTIS Chief Operating Officer, Australian Taxation Office The Chief Operating Officer (COO) leads the ATO’s Enterprise Strategy and Corporate Operations functions. These functions include Strategic Planning, Governance, Finance, Corporate, Risk Management, People, Integrity, Change Management and Design for the organisation. In this role, Jacqui is a member of the ATO Executive, responsible for shaping and setting strategic direction and oversight implementation. Prior to the COO role, Jacqui joined the ATO in September 2013 as Deputy Commissioner ATO People.

Before joining the ATO, Jacqui was General Manager of the People Capability Division with the Department of Human Services, where she led the department’s leadership and change, people development, workforce planning and research functions. Jacqui has also worked for the Australian Public Service Commission, where she was responsible for delivering integrated people development, SES and APS-wide leadership and talent, change management, strategic recruitment, communications, and learning and development. She also has extensive international experience.

In October 2019, Jacqui was appointed the inaugural Head of the APS HR Professional Stream.

ANNA CRONIN Commissioner, Better Regulation Victoria

Anna Cronin is Victoria’s first Commissioner for Better Regulation, appointed by the Victorian Government in 2015. She was given the additional role of Red Tape Commissioner in 2018. Anna has worked in economist, executive and leadership roles in Commonwealth and State governments.

Anna has considerable experience in regulatory issues across many policy areas, including in agricultural and mining regulatory and approvals frameworks. She has also held a number of board positions in the government and not for profit sectors. She sits on the Advisory Board of the Melbourne School of Government at the University of Melbourne. She was awarded the Centenary of Federation Medal for services to rural leadership.

ARIE FREIBERG AM Emeritus Professor, Monash Univeristy Arie Freiberg AM is an Emeritus Professor at Monash University. He was Dean of the Faculty of Law at Monash University between 2004 and 2012. Before this, he was Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne in 2003. He is a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia, the Australian Academy of Law and holds an Adjunct Faculty appointment in the Australia and New Zealand School of Government. He has authored over 180 publications in the areas of sentencing, non-adversarial justice and regulation including the textbooks The Tools of Regulation and Regulation in Australia.

Between 2017 and June 2018 Arie was a member of the Interim Advisory Board of the Victorian Environment Protection Authority. In 2020 he was appointed to the Agency Management Committee of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. He has also consulted for a number of organisations and government agencies on regulatory issues including the NDIS Quality and Safety Commission and the .au Domain Administration Limited.

SU McCLUSKEY Director, Australian Unity Su is a Director of Australian Unity, Foundation for Young Australians, Australasian Pork Research Institute, NSW Rice Marketing Board, Energy Renaissance and a Commissioner for International Agricultural Research. She was a Commissioner on the National COVID-19 Advisory Board, a member of the Deregulation Taskforce Advisory Panel, the Charities Review and the Small Business Digital Taskforce. She was also a member of the Independent Review Panel for CPA Australia, the Harper Review of Competition Policy and the NSW Review of the Regulatory Framework.

Su has been the CEO of the Regional Australia Institute and the Council of Rural Research and Development Corporations and the Executive Director of the Office of Best Practice Regulation. Su has held senior positions with the Business Council of Australia, the National Farmers’ Federation and the Australian Taxation Office. Su is also a beef cattle farmer at Yass, NSW.
