Charles Laughton (English actor) saw potential in me and invited me to co-star with him in Hitchcock’s Jamaica Inn in 1939. That same year I moved to the U.S. to appear in the production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Very soon I became the most popular redhead in Hollywood.

I appeared with eight-year-old Natalie Wood in Miracle on 34th Street.

I worked with Douglas Fairbanks and Errol Flynn and made a life-long friendship with John Wayne.

I featured in How Green Was My Valley and in The Black Swan with Tyrone Power.

I married three times and had one daughter.

I married three times and had 4 children.

My second husband was Roberto Rossellini. One of our twin daughters, Isabella Rossellini, also became a famous actress.

I am a retired American actress. I acted in more than 40 films, mostly in the 1940s and 1950s.

My career began when I was still in High School. One day a Hollywood agent stopped me as I was crossing the road and signed me on a 7 year contract without a screen test! I was 17 years old.

I played minor parts in many movies until I landed a substantial role in Spellbound (1945), directed by Alfred Hitchcock. The film was successful and led to another good role in The Spiral Staircase (1946).

I co-starred with many of Hollywood’s leading men included Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum, Kirk Douglas, Glen Ford and Rock Hudson.

I was nicknamed the "Queen of Technicolor" because my fair complexion and flaming red hair photographed exceptionally well in Technicolor.

I married 6 times and had one child.

I was an American musician, composer and actor.

I was among the most influential figures in jazz history.

I began my career playing the trumpet in brass bands and riverboats in New Orleans. As my musicianship improved and I learned to read music, I moved to Chicago. I joined a Jazz band and for the first time, I quit my day job.

In 1924, I joined the Fletcher Henderson Orchestra in New York and the following year I made a cameo appearance as a vocalist and recorded Ain’t Misbehavin.

In 1968, I recorded a song that became a number one hit in several countries: What a Wonderful World.

I was married 5 times but never had any children.

I made my Broadway debut at age 21 and a year later I received a long-term contract at Columbia and moved to Los Angeles.

I played minor roles in dozens of films before I successfully auditioned for A Place in the Sun (1951) with Montgomery Clift and was nominated for an Academy Award.

Some of my other films include The Night of the Hunter (1955), The Diary of Anne Frank (1959), Lolita (1962), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972).

I am an American actress best known for playing the first American Bond girl of the 007 franchise in Diamonds Are Forever with Sean Connery.

As a child in Los Angeles I went to ballet school with Natalie Wood and Stephanie Powers.

I signed contracts with Universal Pictures and 20th Century Fox in my early career however did not have any starring roles in this time.

I then discovered comedy in Come Blow Your Horn (1963) opposite Frank Sinatra. Other comedies followed including Who’s Sleeping in My Bed? (1963), Who’s Minding the Store? (1963) and Honeymoon Hotel (1964).

I married four times but never had children. I married Robert Wagner 1990 and I have three step daughters.

I caught the attention of a Metro-Goldwin-Mayer executive and was offered a contract. I became known as the Million Dollar Mermaid in Hollywood.

I made a series of films known as ‘aqua musicals’. In 1949, I starred in Take Me Out To The Ball Game; a film that was well received and became a commercial success. The following year I made Neptune’s Daughter where I sang with Ricardo Montalban “Baby, It’s Cold Outside”.
