Religious Education Dear Parishioners, Lent is just around the corner. Every year on the first Sunday of Lent, the Gospel reading is about Jesus' going off to the wilderness, or desert, for forty days. On Ash Wednesday, we begin our own forty days in the desert. This penitential season of Lent is an intense time of spiritual renewal. The Church especially invites us to pray, fast and give alms as means of expressing our utter dependence on God who through the waters of Baptism shares His very life with us. Come join us for a special Lenten program: LENT: CYCLE A - The Road to Redemption beginning Tuesday, March 14 (morning session 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. or evening session 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) in the Drexel Center. This is a DVD assisted program featuring Fr. Mitch Pacwa, S.J. (right), with commentary by Mike Aquilina including study guides and group discussion. A registration form is printed in this bulletin and additional brochures are available in the Parish Office, vestibule of the church and in the Office of Religious Education. The registra- tion due date is February 28. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call (215) 357-2130 or email [email protected] . Let us keep each other in prayer. God Bless, Carole Obrokta Director of Religious Education (Office: 215-357-2130)
