REACH TO RECOVERY Breast Cancer Support

Reach to Recovery lets you talk one-on-one with a trained volunteer about breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. The volunteers are breast cancer survivors, so they know the fear and worry that comes with a diagnosis. A Reach to Recovery kit with breast cancer information booklets and temporary breast prosthesis will be provided if requested. Temporary prosthetic supplies are available for patients. The Recurrent Support Program offers the participants a safe environment in which to explore their thoughts and feelings about the recurrence of cancer. Participants are welcome to attend any or all of the monthly sessions.

ROAD TO RECOVERY Road to Recovery is a transportation program, which provides a network of volunteers who drive patients to and from hospitals and physician’s offices for cancer-related treatment. Hope Lodge Hope Lodge offers cancer patients and their caregivers a free, temporary place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. Currently, there are 31 Hope Lodge locations throughout the United Stated and 3 in State. The closest one is in . Accommodations and eligibility requirements may vary by location. INFORMATION AND REFERRAL Professional staff members guide patients and their families to take advantage of American Cancer Society resources and refer them to agencies that provide other community resources.
