College Football Hall of Famer Adrian Peterson and Georgia Southern alum is in his second season as the director of student-athlete development for the Eagle football program. In his role, Peterson works closely with Student-Athlete Services to provide communication to the football sta on the academic progress of all 100-plus student-athletes on the team. He also serves as a mentor for many players as they navigate their way through college with the end goal of every player earning his degree. Peterson also has a heavy hand in on-campus recruiting, APR other areas to assigned by head coach Chad Lunsford. Perhaps the greatest player to ever suit up in Statesboro, Peterson’s No. 3 jersey is retired at Georgia Southern and he still stands as the NCAA’s Division I all-time leading rusher with 6,559 yards in regular-season contests. He is already a member of GS’s Athletics Hall of Fame and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in December. The Alachua, Florida, native was a four-time All-American and was the rst sophomore to win the Walter Payton Award, given to the top player in the FCS. He rushed for 100 or more yards in 48 consecutive games and at the time of graduation, held 30 school and playo records. He was a sixth-round draft choice of the Chicago Bears in 2002 and was a Super Bowl XLI participant.

Former Georgia Southern football player T.J. Anderson was hired in January of 2018 as the director of high school relations for Eagle head football coach Chad Lunsford. In his role, Anderson maintains good relationships with high school coaches in the state and region and also keeps in contact with the many former GS players who are coaching in the high school ranks. He also is heavily involved with on-campus recruiting. Anderson graduated from Georgia Southern with a degree in sports management in 2005 and played slotback under both Paul Johnson and . In the 2003 and 2004 seasons, he was coached by Lunsford. Anderson, from Snellville, Georgia, won a Division I-AA national championship and three Southern Conference titles at Georgia Southern and went on to play two years of arena football. While at Georgia Southern, Anderson played in 44 games, rushing for 773 yards and ve touchdowns while catching 21 passes for 426 yards and four scores. He came back to GS after serving as an assistant football coach and physical education teacher at The Westminster Schools in Atlanta. Anderson and his wife, Kelly, have three daughters, Avie, Alyvia and Averie.

Brandy Clouse organizes and runs the Athletic Sports Medicine department at Georgia Southern since being promoted to the Associate Athletics Director for Administration in 2014. She added the title of Senior Woman’s Administrator in 2016 and was promoted to Senior Associate A.D in 2017. Clouse oversees seven full-time assistants and a number of graduate and student assistants, who work with all 17 of the Eagles’ Division I sports programs. In her current role, she oversees all sports, all aspects of student-athlete healthcare and supervises 14 athletic trainers. She primarily works with the football team and assists with ADD/ADHD testing and drug testing. Prior to her appointment at GS in 2003, Clouse served as a graduate assistant at Marshall University, where she worked primarily with women’s soccer, women’s swimming, women’s golf, baseball and football. During her time with the Herd, she obtained her Master of Science in cardiac rehabilitation/ exercise physiology. Clouse earned her bachelor of science degree in kinesiology/athletic training from Georgia Southern in December 2000 and was a member of the women’s tennis team. As a student trainer, Clouse assisted with the Eagle women’s soccer, women’s basketball and football programs, as well as the GS football camp. A native of Conyers, Georgia, Clouse graduated from Heritage High School in 1995. She and Rob Clouse were married in May 2009 and are the parents of two sons, Brayden and Landon, and a daughter, Addison Elise, who was born in 2016. Sean Fitzgerald serves as the director of football operations for the Georgia Southern football program, a role he assumed in 2019. He oversees the daily administrative and operational duties within Georgia Southern’s football program, the handling of team travel, and other assorted responsibilities to ensure that the program functions smoothly and e ciently. Fitzgerald is a familiar name to the GS program as he has served the Eagles in several capacities prior to his current role. In his rst stint at Georgia Southern, he served as quality control coach, while assisting with the running backs in 2016. He returned to Statesboro for the back half of the 2018 season and assumed duties as the interim director of video operations as the Eagles won 10 games, including the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl. In between his stays at Georgia Southern, he was the running backs coach at Wagner College, mentoring senior running back Ryan Fulse, who had a breakout nal year. Fulse was named a 2018 FCS First-Team All-American and rst-team all-conference, and was a nalist for the prestigious Walter Payton Award, regarded as the Heisman Trophy of the FCS, emblematic of the nation’s top o ensive player. Fitzgerald’s college coaching resume also includes a ve- year tenure on the sta at his alma mater, the University of Central Florida. After serving ve years as the Knights’ equipment manager, he worked his way to o ensive quality control coach where his responsibilities including the execution of all defensive lm input/breakdowns and weekly opponent reports. In this role, Fitzgerald also handled all weekly self-scout input and duties, helped aid with the o ensive game-planning, in addition to working with the wide receivers, running backs and quarterbacks. In 2012, Fitzgerald earned a B.S. in general business management at UCF before going on to earn a master of science degree in communications in 2013. Englon “Leo” Roberts IV serves as the Head of Athletic Equipment Services for the Georgia Southern Athletics Department, a position he has held since April of 2019. At Georgia Southern, Roberts IV oversees the department’s Adidas apparel deal and runs the equipment room at the Ted Smith Family Football Center. He is the direct supervisor for GS’s athletic equipment services in entirety. Roberts IV’s sta orders, distributes, launders, sizes equipment and apparel, and also handles eld set up for daily practices. He also oversees the sta of full time equipment personnel and student managers, in addition to the Eagles’ other 16 varsity sports. Roberts IV came to Statesboro after serving as the Director of Equipment Operations at Morgan State University for nearly two years. In his role at MSU, he oversaw all of the athletic departments equipment aspects, including the ordering, distributing, organizing and budgeting for the entire administration, sta , coaches and all 13 sports programs. He also helped negotiate the department’s contract with Adidas, a ve-year deal for the school. Prior to Morgan State, Roberts IV was the Director of Equipment Operations at Campbell University after working as the Assistant Director of Equipment Operations and Head Football Equipment Manager at Morgan State from the beginning of 2016 until mid 2017. He is a certi ed member of the Athletic Equipment Manager’s Association (AEMA). Roberts IV, who hails from Baltimore, Maryland, played defensive back at Bowie State and graduated from the school with a degree in sports management with a minor in communications. Matt Brennan is in his fourth season at Georgia Southern and his third in the role of Director of Player Personnel. His rst year was spent serving in a special teams and defensive quality control role. In 2016, he was the main assistant for special teams coordinator Chad Lunsford who was named a Broyles Award nominee, given to the nation’s top assistant coach, as the Eagles blocked seven kicks and featured a Lou Groza Award nalist in Younghoe Koo. Prior to coming to Georgia Southern, Brennan was a high school coach in the state of Georgia for 11 years at Woodward Academy in College Park. He served as defensive line coach, co-special teams coordinator and co-recruiting coordinator while there. His teams quali ed for the state playo s every year, winning two region championships and making two Group AAAA state semi nal appearances in 2014 and 2015. While at Woodward, Brennan had 16 of his defensive lineman go on to play college football and helped over 40 total players from Woodward go on to play college football during his time there. Originally from Tucker, Georgia, Brennan received his degree from Troy University in sports management.

Nikki Dono serves as the assistant of football operations for the Georgia Southern football program. Originally from Kingsland, Georgia, Dono graduated from Camden County High School in 2014. She obtained her B.S. in sport management from Georgia Southern University in May of 2018. During her time at Georgia Southern, Dono gained experience volunteering and working with sales, game-day operations, player engagement and team operations for football, men’s and women’s basketball, and baseball. During her senior year, she accepted an operations internship with Georgia Southern football. Upon graduation, she o cially joined the football sta and has been with the team since June of 2018, working in the operations side of the program. BRYCE SORRIER ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER, FOOTBALL // SECOND SEASON

Bryce Sorrier joined the Georgia Southern Athletic Department as an assistant athletic trainer in fall of 2018. His primary responsibility is overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Georgia Southern football program. In addition to football, Sorrier oversees the clinical coverage for women’s track & eld and cross country. Prior to joining the sta at Georgia Southern, Sorrier worked as assistant athletic trainer at Eastern Michigan University. Sorrier’s other experiences include serving as a clinical athletic trainer at MedSport, serving as the head athletic trainer at Owasso High School in Oklahoma, and a stop at the University of Arizona. He began his time at Arizona as a graduate assistant in 2009, before being elevated to assistant athletic trainer in 2011. Sorrier is a certi ed athletic trainer licensed by the State of Georgia and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Southeast Athletic Trainers Association. He is also certi ed in dry needling technique. He earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science with an emphasis in athletic training from the University of Georgia in 2009, before getting his master’s in education from the University of Arizona in 2011.

PHILL GUARD FOOTBALL VIDEO COORDINATOR // FIRST SEASON

Phill Guard was hired as the football video coordinator in 2019. He moved into his current role after overseeing GATA Lifestyle, the team’s social media recruiting outlet, and was previously a graduate assistant for the Eagles. In his current role, Guard directs all coaches lm from practices and games as well as lm exchange with Eagle opponents. He manages and trouble- shoots technology for the program utilizing the XOS software system. With the assistance of a number of students and a graduate assistant, Guard uses up to six cameras at practice and games to provide footage for daily review and highlight videos. He maintains the program’s recent lm archives and a 50 terabytes of storage to make clips available to the sta on demand. He continues to oversee a sta that runs the GATA Lifestyle accounts. He joined the coaching sta at Georgia Southern in 2017 as an o ensive graduate assistant. Guard came to Statesboro from St. Lawrence University. The former national champion with Mount Union will work with the o ensive line of the Eagles. Guard was a three-year player and one-year assistant coach at Mount Union and helped the Raiders win the national championship in 2012. After graduating in 2015 with a degree in business management and a minor in education, Guard was hired as an assistant coach at Albright College. He helped with the o ense, special teams and video as the Lions captured the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) championship and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Mount Union. The Geneva, New York, native was also a member of the New York State championship football team at Geneva High School.

LISA SWEANY DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS/FOOTBALL ADMINISTRATOR // THIRD SEASON

After six successful seasons as the leader of Armstrong State Athletics, Lisa M. Sweany joined Georgia Southern University as the as the deputy director of athletics in 2017. At Georgia Southern, Sweany helps with the day-to-day oversight of the athletic department, and also has sport oversights of football, volleyball and softball, as well as game operations and human resources. Sweany earned a top honor in 2017 as she was named an Under Armour Athletics Director of the Year for NCAA Division II, announced by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). In her six years at Armstrong State, the Pirates won four straight Peach Belt Conference Commissioner’s Cups from 2012-15, the league’s All-Sports trophy. Over 40 teams during six years advanced to NCAA Championships play. Overall, during her six seasons with the Pirates, Sweany saw three NCAA Division II National Champions, 23 Peach Belt Conference regular season and 15 tournament titles, 43 NCAA Championships appearances, 86 All-Americans, 12 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans and 214 All-Peach Belt Conference honorees. Sweany joined Armstrong State in July of 2011, coming from fellow NCAA Division II school Grand Valley State, where she served as assistant AD and then senior associate AD for 10 years. Prior to joining GVSU, she served at Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana, starting in 1995 as athletics facilities director. She holds a master’s degree in physical education with a concentration in sports management from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and a bachelor’s degree with honors in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana. Dr. Brandonn S. Harris, CMPC, is currently the program director and a tenured Associate Professor of Sport and Exercise Psychology at Georgia Southern University where he also serves as the Graduate Program Director for the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology. He is a current member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and Division 47 of the American Psychological Association. He is a Certi ed Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) and is also listed on the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Sport Psychology Registry. At Georgia Southern he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of ethical issues in sport psychology, psychological aspects of peak performance, sport and exercise psychology interventions, team dynamics in sport, and supervises graduate students’ practica and internships in sport and exercise psychology. As a practitioner, he has consulted with numerous collegiate athletes and teams, youth athletes, parents, and coaches on a variety of sport psychology- related topics. As a researcher, he has conducted and published several book chapters, peer-reviewed publications, and delivered numerous national and international presentations. Dr. Harris obtained his bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a sport psychology specialization from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. He holds two master’s degrees with one in sport and exercise psychology and the other in counseling, both from West Virginia University. His Ph.D. in sport and exercise psychology was also completed at West Virginia University.

MATT WISE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT VOLUNTEER // FIFTH SEASON

Matt Wise volunteers his time as the leader of character development for the Georgia Southern football program. He is responsible for helping student- athletes develop character fundamentals along with leadership development that will serve and guide them throughout and following their playing careers. A former Georgia Southern student-athlete, Wise played from 2004-2007 for the Eagle football squad. After a career-ending injury in 2007, Wise served as a student coach in 2008 and graduated with a degree in exercise science. Since graduation, Wise has spent time serving athletes and coaches at GS through the platform of sports ministry. He is currently the campus director for Athletes In Action, a sports ministry of Cru. In 2016, Wise helped lead Georgia Southern Athletes on a service trip to Nicaragua that won the Sun Belt Community Impact Award for the year. He brings a servant attitude and depth of passion into his work every day with student-athletes, coaches and leaders. A native of Hazlehurst, Georgia, Wise and his wife, Colleen, who played soccer from 2004-2007 for Georgia Southern, live in Statesboro. They have three girls, Hope, Kennedy and Berkley.

BRYAN JOHNSTON ASSOCIATE A.D., PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS // FIFTH SEASON

Bryan Johnston has direct oversight of the athletics communications and creative services o ces at Georgia Southern as the associate athletics director for public relations and communications. In his current role as a member of the Athletic Director’s Executive Sta , he works with the external relations team in making sure his area is synced up with the athletics marketing and athletics ticketing departments to best tell the Georgia Southern story, drive revenue and ticket sales/attendance and ensure everything is on brand. He also heads up the media relations for the football squad, traveling with the team and taking care of all media requests, as well as ri e. Johnston plays a lead role in planning, developing and managing of complex and innovative projects, and implementing them across multiple digital platforms. Johnston joined the Georgia Southern Athletics Sta in August of 2015 after spending 16 years at Virginia Tech as the football, wrestling and softball SID. He was elevated to director of content strategy in 2014. He went to Tech in 1999 as an intern following graduation from college and was made a full-time employee in 2000. Spanning his career, Johnston has coordinated media e orts prior to and on-site for 18 college football bowl games inlcuding the 2000 BCS National Championship, the Orange Bowl three times, and Sugar Bowl twice. Johnston is an active member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and was voted as the National Wrestling S.I.D. of the Year by the National Wrestling Media Association in 2014. He graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1999 with a degree in sport administration.
