This chardonnay is not shy on the nose at all: lime blossoms, lemon curds, and honeysuckle all leap from the glass. Wolfberger Auxerrois 2018 Retail: $13.95 | Sale: $12.55 The Wolfberger winery was founded in 1902 when a group of -growers in Eguisheim decided to join forces to create one of the first cooperatives in Alsace. Auxerrois blanc happens to be the third most widely planted in Alsace. Recent DNA fingerprinting suggests that it is a cross between and Pinot, the same ancestry as Chardonnay. This pale yellow wine shows an intense nose of fresh white fruits, rhubarb and spring flowers. The palate is fresh and easy with lots of fruit and a slight spice on the finish. 100% Auxerrois
