Rules

1) 46 feet ’s mound in 10U

2) 60 feet bases in 10U

3) 50 feet pitcher’s mound in 11U & 12U

4) 70 feet bases in 11U & 12U

5) limited to 2- per game o Innings must be consecutive . Example – Pitcher starts the game on the mound and throws the 1st . The same pitcher would not be able to come back and throw the 6th inning of the same game. o One thrown to a batter constitutes an inning pitched. 6) Warm-up pitches o Pitchers are allowed 5 warm-up pitches in-between innings o Pitchers are allowed 5 warm-up pitches when replacing another pitcher in the middle of an inning 7) Bat restrictions –

o 10U Bats must not exceed 2 ¼ inch in diameter (no big barrels)

o 11U & 12U Big Barrel bats allowed up to (2 ¾ inch in diameter) if 1.15 BPF

o A batter is in violation of the rule when said batter steps into the batter’s box with an illegal bat. An illegal bat must be pointed to the prior to the first pitch to the next batter, or before all defensive players leave fair territory.

o Penalty . will be ejected for the remainder of the tournament . Batter is out . All recorded outs during the time . Runners are not allowed to advance on a 8) No dropped 3rd strike rule for 10U

9) Dropped 3rd strike for 11U & 12U

10) 10U Players will not lead-off/leave the base until a pitched ball crosses the plate

11) 11U & 12U full lead offs and stealing, including delayed steals

12) Courtesy Runners

o Managers have the option of inserting a courtesy runner for the at any time during an inning. . The courtesy runner shall be the player that committed the most recent out in the order.  Manager must wait for an out to occur before replacing the catcher for a courtesy runner in the 1st inning. . A player must have played the last half-inning in the defensive catcher’s position to qualify for a courtesy runner.  If a courtesy runner is used in the top of the 1st inning, the player exiting the bases for a courtesy runner must assume the catcher’s defensive position in the bottom half of the inning. 13) Batting order and extra players

o Teams have the following three (3) options with regard to batting order and extra players: . Straight Nine – Nine (9) players in the batting order and listed on the lineup card. No . All other players are substitutes and subject to substitution rules (starter can re-enter into his original spot one time) . Extra Hitter – Ten (10) players in the batting order and listed on the lineup card. No designated hitter. Free substitution (defensive players) among the ten (10) players listed on the batting order. All other players are substitutes and subject to substitution rules (starter can re-enter into his original spot one time) . Continuous – All players in uniform (unless injured) are in the batting order and listed on the lineup card. If a late players arrives after the lineup cards are exchanged, then the player must be entered into the last spot in the batting order. Free defensive substitution for all players throughout the game. . When opting for the Extra Hitter or Continuous batting order option: If a player is injured or has to leave the game unexpectedly, an automatic out will not be awarded as long as the team has 9 players still in the batting order. In this situation, the next batter in the order will move up. o The manager shall declare his choice to the opposing manager and umpire(s) during the meeting at home plate prior to each game. Once a declaration is made, it cannot be changed for that game.

14) All games will be six-innings in length o Mercy Rules . 15 runs after 3-innings . 10 runs after 4-innings . 8 runs after 5-innings 15) Questions or disputes should be directed to the Tournament Director (Dave Hanaway). Decisions made by the Tournament Director shall be final.

16) No spectator admission

17) Teams should arrive 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Teams may start and finish games with eight (8) uniformed and roster players. If a team has to play with eight (8) players, the ninth spot in the batting order is an automatic out. If a ninth uniformed and rostered player arrives, that player may be inserted into the ninth spot in the batting order and the automatic out shall stop. If a team has seven (7) or less uniformed players to start a game, or at any point during the game, the game shall be declared a forfeit. The forfeit score shall be 7-0 for tiebreaker purposes.

18) The home team for pool games shall be determined by a coin flip, and will be responsible for reporting scores to the Tournament Director. The team that has traveled the greatest distance will call the flip. The umpire or member of the tournament management team must be present for the flip. The higher seed will be the home team throughout bracket play. If, during bracket play, two teams with the same seed are playing against each other, flip for home team.

19) Teams should fill 1st and 3rd base dugouts on a first come, first serve basis, irrespective of home and away designations. If a team has back to back games on the same field, they should always remain in the same to avoid the extra time involved in moving bags, etc.

20) There will be no practice. Teams can warm-up in the batting cages or grass if time permits. Do not do any flip drills into fences.

21) If a tiebreaker is needed to determine seeding, the following tiebreakers will be used: a) Overall won-lost record b) Head to head (only applies when two teams are involved) c) Least of runs allowed through the tournament d) Total runs scored e) Coin flip 22) The Tournament Director may modify the number or length of games when necessary due to weather, field conditions, or scheduling issues. This includes imposing a time limit if games get backed up.

23) Refund policy due to inclement weather or field conditions o Zero games completed – 100% refund o One game completed – 50% refund o Two or more games completed – No refund
