Diwali Celebration

‘‘It so often appears that slander, lies, dishonesty, unrighteousness and sin prevail. Does faith, after all, triumph over evil, sin and iniquity?”

“It does!!” -The Urantia Book

17th October, 2017- Diwali is not just the festival of lights but it’s also a harbinger of joy and prosperity. Diwali imparts the crucial knowledge that truth always triumphs. It not only symbolizes the victory of good over evil but it also symbolises the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, hope over despair.

As Diwali was around the corner, Bal Bharati Public School Indraprastha Yojna could not hold its great fanfare, devotion, zeal and excitement. Festive spirit started floating in the air as the students started the preparations for the celebration. A special assembly was conducted wherein Montessori department’s skit stole the entirelimelight .The assembly proved to be a big hit as the Principal, Ms. Ruchira Bhatnagar, appreciated the strenuous efforts laid in by the teachers and the students.

The message of ‘Spread Diwali Cheer through Charity’ was again spread in all the corners as the Bal Bharatians diligently got involved in the noble deed. Interact Club organised a Charity Meet at ‘ Love Care Foundation c/o Oxeos Valley School’. Our students came back with some awe-inspiring moments and pictures. They even got a chance to get candid with the students of that school and couldn’t hold their happiness when they saw contentment on their faces after receiving surprise Diwali presents.

The school was decorated by the handmade materials crafted by the students during the House Meet. Each and every class was embellished with stunning Rangoliand handcrafted frills and diyas.

The Principal, Ms. Ruchira Bhatnagar, treasured the endeavourof students and encouraged them to celebrate all the festivals with the same vigour and enthusiasm. These ‘Go Green’ ways of our students taught us how this pious festival can be celebrated and enjoyed without burning firecrackers and polluting the environment.
