 Students who are planning to take up the G.C.E (A/L) Examination this August to acquire the qualifications required to proceed to the SLIIT degree programmes, namely obtaining three passes at the Advanced Level Examination at one and the same sitting, would be exempted from the requirement of sitting the Mid Semester Examinations of SLIIT on request, if the periods of such examinations coincide with that of the G.C.E (A/L) Examination. In this case the concession will be extended only in relation to the dates on which the examinations of the University and SLIIT would clash. Such students will be required to submit a copy of their examination time table and the admission card certified by the Senior Assistant Registrar in charge of examinations at the relevant University to the Manager / Examinations before the commencement of the Mid Semester Examination.

 Students who comply with the requirements stipulated at sections 3 and 4 above as applicable would be entitled to “IC” status (Incomplete Status) for the Mid Semester Examination or the SLIIT subjects scheduled for the dates on which examinations would clash.

 Students receiving “IC” status for the Mid Semester examination in the above manner would be facilitated to attempt a special Mid Semester Examination

 Students who do not comply with the requirement stated in paragraph three or four above as applicable, would not be accorded the concession referred to at 5 above.
