Objective 1: The students will practice and improve the skill of reading silently for an instructed period of time in order to develop a community of excellent lifelong readers who share the pleasures of reading. This lesson will allow the students to appreciate reading as a means of learning and enjoyment, to understand information, and to value and appreciate the love of reading.Objective #2: The students will select and check out books on an appropriate level and learn and understand proper book check-out procedure/routine within the LMC.
Objective #3: The students will be able to listen for a variety of
informational purposes--getting directions, performing tasks (books
checked in/out process), and following rules.
