5:30 p.m. “Meet-and-greet” the Laws – bring personal item for autographs

6:45 p.m. On-field flag presented by Boy Scouts to honor 100 years of Scouting

LDS missionaries will sing The Star-Spangled Banner

7:05 p.m. First pitch of the game: Oakland vs. Tampa Bay

Boy Scouts should wear uniforms to the game to receive a “Scout Day” patch.

Boy Scout volunteers may sign-up to participate in on-field flag presentation.
See sign-up sheet for this event in your Sunday meetings. Order early and get seats with your friends! Tickets: $10 (reg. $18) Plaza Outfield, $16 (reg. $30) Lower Box.

Featured speakers: Vern, Vance and Andrew Law

Friday, August 20th at 7:00 p.m.

Oakland Interstake Center

Bonus: post-fireside reception at Oakland Temple Visitors’ Center

Come hear the Law Family perspective on perseverance and preserving values while participating in one of America's favorite sports, baseball.

Vern Law Vance Law Andrew Law

The Law Family includes three generations of baseball players. Vern Law, is a retired MLB pitcher and Cy Young Award winner. Vern Law played in the 1960 World Series against the Yankees. Vance Law is currently the head baseball coach for BYU. He was a Major League Baseball player from 1980-1991. He played with the Oakland A’s in his final season. Vance’s son, Andrew, was the 2010 BYU baseball team co-captain. Andrew served a mission in London, England and is an Eagle Scout.
