ANNUAL TROPHIES

(Amended 08/17)

All Perpetual trophies are to be kept in the club rooms. All replicas are given at the same time as the Perpetuals are awarded.

Eligibility for all annual trophies:

General

1.  The year is from the first trial after 1st November (in the previous year) up to and including the

31st October of the current year.(03/10)

2.  You must be a member of Dover when the scores are obtained.

Obedience, Rally-O & ET (11/16)

3.  SACA approved titles are accepted. Interstate qualifications are not accepted (08/17)

4.  Members obtaining the first leg of their CCD/Novice/RN are eligible for a free club T-shirt.

There will be only one free T-shirt per membership irrespective of the number of dog’s trialled.

5.  The onus is on the member to submit their trial results to the Club. This must be in the form of

a photocopy of their qualification certificate/s. (03/10). To be eligible for a title trophy a photocopy of the ANKC title certificate or written proof of the title application and approval from Dogs SA must be provided. (08/17).

Flyball (11/16)

6.  AFA approved titles are accepted. Interstate points are accepted only if competing under the

Dover club name and the Dover team name

7.  Members obtaining their FD title are eligible for a free club T-shirt.

There will be only one free T-shirt per membership irrespective of the number of dog’s trialled.

8.  The onus is on the member to submit their trial results to the Flyball Head Instructor.

9.  To be eligible for a title certificate or title trophy, written proof of the AFA title approval must be

provided by the Flyball Head Instructor to the club Trophy Officer by 31st October of the current year.

10.  Each dog awarded a title/s will receive one small trophy indicating all titles won in the current year.

The following trophies are awarded to Club members in accordance with the following criteria:

Verna Bruning Memorial – highest Community Companion Dog (CCD)

Dave Rumble Perpetual – highest Novice title (CD)

Ros Turnbull Perpetual – highest Open title (CDX)

Misty Perpetual – highest Utility Title (UD)

Rita Hunter Memorial Shield – highest Utility Dog Excellent title (UDX)

Glenbertram Miss Megs CDX – Obedience Champion Title (OCh)

Bev Meiksans Memorial Trophy – Obedience Grand Champion title (OGrCh)

All of the above to be displayed on the Honour Board

Club Awards –small trophy awarded to all CCD, CD, CDX, Rally-O, ET titles and each dog awarded a Flyball title/s will receive one small trophy indicating all titles won in the current year (11/16)

Club Award – Utility & Utility Dog Excellent Hall of Fame.

M Hearn Perpetual – Most improved non-trialling dog & handler.

Club Award – Encouragement Award to non-trialling dog & handler.

For the following 7 awards – names are to be printed on the Honour Board & certificate presented to each winner at award presentation.

1.VERNA BRUNING MEMORIAL - HIGHEST COMMUNITY COMPANION DOG TITLE (C.C.D.)

To comprise of the aggregate of the first 3 scores used to gain the title, (can include previous year’s scores)

2. DAVE RUMBLE PERPETUAL - HIGHEST NOVICE TITLE (C.D.)

To comprise of the aggregate of the first 3 scores used to gain the title, (can include previous year’s scores)

3. ROS TURNBULL PERPETUAL - HIGHEST OPEN TITLE (C.D.X.)

To comprise of the aggregate of the first 3 scores used to gain the title, (can include previous year’s scores)

4. MISTY PERPETUAL TROPHY - HIGHEST UTILITY TITLE (UD)

To comprise of the aggregate of the first 3 scores used to gain the title, (can include previous year’s scores)

5. RITA HUNTER MEMORIAL SHIELD - HIGHEST UTILITY DOG EXCELLENT TITLE (UDX)

To comprise of the aggregate of the first 3 scores used to gain the title, (can include previous year’s scores)

6. GLENBERTRAM MISS MEGS CDX - OBEDIENCE CHAMPION TITLE (OCh)

The names of all handlers and dogs achieving the title go onto the honour board.

7.BEV MEIKSANS MEMORIAL TROPHY - OBEDIENCE GRAND CHAMPION TITLE (GrOCh)

The names of all handlers and dogs achieving the title go onto the honour board.

CLUB AWARD

All dogs gaining their CCD, CD, CDX, RN, RA, RE, RAE, RM, ROCh, ET titles are to receive a small Trophy (08/17)

Each dog awarded a Flyball title/s will receive one small trophy indicating all titles won in the current year. (11-16)

CLUB AWARD

UTILITY & UTILITY DOG EXCELLENT HALL OF FAME

All Handlers & Dogs obtaining their Utility or Utility Dog Excellent titles will have their photos placed on the honour walls providing they qualify as follows:

All legs of the Utility Dog or Utility Dog Excellent Titles must be obtained whilst a member of Dover, (previous titles may be obtained at other clubs i.e. CD/CDX)

The club will arrange for a suitable photo of not more than 8" x 10 of preferably both handler & dog.

The Club will arrange framing of the Photo

Framing to be consistent with other Frames on the wall

The Framed Photo will be presented and displayed at the Annual Trophy Presentation Night/Day

The club will also present a framed photo to the handler (does not have to be the same frame)

CLUB AWARD M Hearn Perpetual– Most improved non-trialling dog & handler. – (From Grades 1 to 5)

Perpetual Plaque –with a replica given at Trophy presentation

To be selected by the Head Instructor in conjunction with the Club Instructors.

Rule change proposals

1. Delete the word “not” in section 3

Rationale for above change:

To allow all Obedience, Rally and ET trialling members to be recognised for any qualifications awarded at interstate competitions making a more consistent and equal criterion for all disciplines within the club.

2. Add in “from Dogs SA” in section 5

Rationale for above change:

The title has to be assessed by Dogs SA to ensure all qualifications and information are correct and sufficient for Dogs SA to approve the title and be happy toforward it to the ANKC for a certificate to be issued.

This issue has been highlighted by Dogs SA to the club

3. Add in “RAE” in Club Award page 2

Rationale for above change:

This title was inadvertently omitted when titles were updated.
