TREATMENT AREAS Questions & Answers

Is the treatment painful? A local anaesthetic is used to numb the area to prevent any discomfort. Immediately after the treatment there maybe mild swelling and redness DID YOU KNOW? which usually subsides within 48 hours, a dressing maybe present to cover the wound. Once the local anaesthetic has worn off there maybe some 90% of Courthouse Clinics discomfort, this is usually relived by taking Paracetamol. patients would refer a friend for treatment with us.

What product do you use? No side effects are to be expected following a minor surgical procedure except possible pain after the local anaesthetic wears off. We would therefore recommend that you have an adequate supply of pain killers such as Paracetamol or Ibuprofen at home so you may take them if required. Courthouse Clinics has a first class infection control record, but it is still possible, despite all precautions, for infections to occur. In the event of a suspected infection e.g. inflammation in the treated area, please contact the Courthouse Clinics immediately or if out of normal operating hours you should contact your local G.P. for further advice.
