Wittenberg Lions Scholarship

WITTENBERGLIONS SCHOLARSHIP

To help encourage young men andwomen to pursue adegree from an institution of higher education, the Wittenberg Lions Club offers multiple $1,000 dollar scholarships. Primary consideration will be given to students who meet the following criteria.

Scholarship.Major emphasis will be given to cumulative grade point average and class rank with consideration for advanced courses taken.

Leadership.Consideration will be given to leadership ability in class, extra curricular activities and community affairs.

Citizenship.Consideration will be given to character and conduct.

Service.Consideration will begivento contributions toward schooland community affairs.

The Scholarship Committee will select the scholarship recipients. If there aremorethan two highly qualified individuals the same year a third scholarship could be given.

Scholarship Guidelines

1.  Application is due to the Witt-Birn office by 1:00pm on April 15th

2.  Applicant must be accepted or have acceptance pendingin an institution of higher education.

3.  Announcement ofthe award willbe made on Senior Awards Night.

4.  The Lions scholarship will be made payable to therecipient in twoinstallments, first at the completion of the fall semester and there is evidence of enrollment for the following semester. The second will be paid at the beginningofthe recipient’s third semester. If the recipient does not follow through with plans for schooloris notingood academic standing the scholarship will not be awarded.

5.  Information will be reviewed by the Wittenberg Lions Scholarship Committee and will remain confidential.
