Dear Parent/Guardian,

Half term – Children return back Monday 30 th October

Football Competition Huge congratulations to our Year 5 football team who represented us at the football finals on Tuesday. Despite the fact that they were younger than the other teams they played incredibly well and made me extremely proud. The members of staff from the other schools even said that they would not have realised that they were year 5's, including a year 4, as they played so well, and a special mention was made from the PE staff at William de Ferrers about how impressed he was with how our team played. Well done to the following boys: Joe Penny (5F), Max Wishart (5F), Callum Bailey (5W), Sid Stevens (5W), Jack Marsh (5F), Jake Lear (5W), Louis Edmunds (5W), Curtis Ireland (5W) and Joe Harrington (4W). Report by Mrs Robbins. Parking – Medical Centre (Market Avenue) We had a telephone call today from the medical centre. Parents are parking in their car park resulting in doctors not being able to park to get into surgery on time to attend their appointments. The staff, trying to get into work, had no choice but to block parents in, go into work, and then be interrupted – during appointments – for the parents to get out. To top it all the parents, who clearly show nothing but disregard to anyone else, were rude to them! We apologised to the centre for this but frankly I am staggered that anyone would prevent a doctor from getting into their workplace! Parking Survey Parking surveys were sent home this week. Year 6’s will be given their surveys when we return after half term. Please complete your form and return it by Friday 3rd November, thank you. Swimming – Year 3 & 4 Swimming starts for Years 3 & 4 when we return. If you have not made a payment yet fees are £15.40. Please remember swimming kits for Tuesday 31st October. Children who are asthmatic must take their inhalers with them so please make sure your child has one with them. New Winter Menu Reminder: We have a new menu after half term.
