Council of Governors Development Workshop - 16 June 2015 – Exeter Court Hotel, Exeter
Thank you to those of you who were able to attend the meeting on Tuesday, it was felt to be a positive and productive meeting especially within the subgroups. As agreed at the meeting there will be no formal minutes of the meeting but action notes will be circulated.
Governor Survey Form
The governor survey forms are being updated for each region and the 30, as agreed at the Council of Governors Workshop, will be sent out to all governors soon for you to complete and return during the summer. To those unable to attend an explanatory note will be included in the pack.

Please note the date and location of the next Council of Governors formal meeting. If you wish to submit an item for inclusion on the agenda please email your request to Marty. Marty will discuss this item with Heather and Adrian for the main agenda, and if it’s a sub group agenda – with Heather and the lead Governor for that sub-group.
Board Meeting – 30 July 2014
Please note the date of the next Board meeting and advise us if you wish to attend. Board meetings are held at SWASFT HQ and start at 10.00am. Please note that parking is very limited at HQ on Board days, so if you wish to attend parking will be arranged for you at Wickes Carpark. If you have not already done so and would like to attend please contact me on or telephone 01392 261 502.

Governor Exchange Programme
We have been talking to other trusts about a governor exchange programme. This would allow governors to attend other Council of Governor meetings in order to observe how other local meetings function, take learnings from these meetings and reporting back. The dates and locations are listed below. Please notify us at least one month prior to the date of the meeting if you wish to attend.

Trust Station Open Days
The Trust has decided to open a number of its station to the general public over the summer period. The idea is to allow the public into our world and to see just how the modern day ambulance service and its staff deliver the high quality care afforded our patients throughout the south west. Staff will be on hand to engage with the visitors and will display an array of resources as well as providing health checks and CPR demonstrations.

Taunton, Somerset - Sunday 23 August
Derriford, Plymouth, Devon - Saturday 12 September
