CCSCO Carnival Needs Your HELP!
The CCSCO School Carnival, held at Celina Primary School (East Elementary), is scheduled for October 4, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. This carnival has been around for years (I’m sure many of you attended as kids). The carnival is an awesome fund raiser for our students. Once again this year, we will have a wide assortment of games for all ages to play along with the inflatable rides on the front lawn, weather permitting.
If it wasn’t for the amazing volunteers like you, this carnival would not be in existence. Here are some ways you can help the carnival succeed.
Volunteer to Work at the Carnival
Please sign up for a shift time of volunteering at the carnival. The carnival requires approximately 120 volunteers to cover two shifts. We have attached a form for you to complete and return to your child’s teacher by Friday, September 19th. If you are able to work more than one shift, please note it on the form. We are also more than happy to have older siblings volunteer along with a parent.
Country Store – Baked Items Needed
The Country Store would like to have baked goods and home preserves. Some suggestions:
J Homemade Breads / J Homemade RollsJ Cookies / J Cup Cakes
J Brownies / J Candy (i.e. buckeyes, fudge, etc.)
J Cakes / J Carmel Corn
To help the store run smoothly, a few suggestions:
v Please package items in smaller portions (i.e. ½ dozen or 1 dozen for cookies, rolls & muffins; make mini loaves of breads, make 2 cakes from 1 box mix.)
v Place items on sturdy paper plates or tins, and place them in a zipper-type plastic bag.
v Please write description on the bag (i.e. chocolate chip cookies).
Cake (Dessert) Walk
The Cake Walk has been a huge success over the years. Each family is asked to bring in one item for the Cake / Dessert Walk. This could be cakes, pies, plates of cookies or other creative desserts. Drop off for these items will be on Friday (October 3th) from 4– 5:30 p.m. and Saturday (Oct. 4th) from 8:00– 10:00 a.m. at Celina Primary School (East Elementary).
