Teaching Aims:

Step One: Greetings

Greet the whole class as usual

Step Two: Revision and Lead-in

T: As we know , everyone will get ill in his whole life, And most of the time, illness can be cured sooner or later. However, some diseases can’t be cured. We call them incurable disease. Such as AIDS and cancer and so. Yesterday we had an AIDS quiz, by which we’ve known more about AIDS. Let’s first rivise it.You have already known the transmittion routes of AIDS.Can you tell me something about it ?

T: Can cups or glasses transmit AIDS virus?
Ss: No.

T:Can toilet seats transmit AIDS virus?

Ss: No.

T: Is it safe to be friends with people who are living AIDS?

Ss: Yes.

T: Very good. Today we are going to read a text about a person living with AIDS. Look at the title of the passage, Born Dying .Can you tell me the title’s meaning.

Ss: It means when a person is born with AIDS, he is dying soon.

T: Quite right.Look at the photo of Xiaohua,she is a lovely girl who smiles a lot.The passage tells us a girl who has been infected with HIV through birth. She fought against AIDS bravely. And from the story we can understand Xiaohua’s optimistic attitude towards the disease. and the precious spirit of fighting against disease. the text also tells us how to deal with the AIDS suffers. how to care for them .and warn people of loving life, do what we can to make our life more meaningful and beautiful.

Step Three:Reading

T: well, Before reading the text , please write down some questions you think will be answered in the text. I give you two minutes to prepare.
